Being driven by whirlwinds and storms, trapped in a net, tormented by weapons such as swords and spears, beggars with leprosy and blind beggars begging for food and cursing, being chased for debts, being forcibly taken away by people one dislikes, being driven by whirlwinds and storms, riding a black donkey, being forcibly taken away while riding a wild horse, using impure substances such as opium, wandering alone in unfamiliar places, and so on. In short, Obstacles to life arise, accomplishments decline, sins accumulate, one is subjected to the curses of others, diseases invade, gossip and slander increase, wishes cannot be fulfilled, quarrels, debates, and lawsuits occur, karmic obscurations are heavy, one falls into evil realms, and many other inauspicious signs appear. Sometimes, the illusions and requests of ghosts and spirits, as well as the illusions of protectors and messengers, become confused. These are uncertain and need to be carefully observed. Fourth, the situation where good and bad alternate is that there is no certainty in the alternation of good and bad in the morning and evening. If it starts good and then turns bad, it will turn to the bad side; if it starts bad and then turns good, it will turn to the good side. If they alternate and cannot be distinguished, they should be regarded as illusions. Fifth, signs that appear auspicious but are actually inauspicious are: hanging other people's flags in one's own house and land, being carried by many people, wearing new red clothes on the body, wearing a black hat on the head, or tying a black or blue turban, climbing to the top of a large tree, crossing a large mountain and reaching a valley that has never been visited before, receiving and consuming black foods such as ghee and brown sugar, entering a red garden and decorating the body with flowers, showing off official titles, offering courtesy to others, being covered and suppressed by silk, enjoying ghee, and so on. In short, these are all signs that appear auspicious but are actually inauspicious. Sixth, signs that appear inauspicious but are actually auspicious are: oneself swallowing, burning, eating, or cutting off one's own body, carrying a huge corpse, dismembering the body, pus and blood flowing, the body being eaten by others and nothing remaining, being washed away by water and swimming, flying in the sky, all things in the world being burned by fire, being washed away by water, being scattered by the wind, heavy rain falling, and so on. These are all things that appear temporarily inauspicious and frightening, but they are signs of escaping from diseases and demons, eliminating obscurations, and approaching accomplishments, so they will become auspicious.
