From the Great Treasure Trove TD2930, from 'Guru's Intentions United (blama dgongs pa 'dus pa),' this is the teaching called 'The Sequence of Good and Bad Dream Signs.' Various activities, dream signs. From 'Guru's Intentions United (blama dgongs pa 'dus pa),' this is the teaching called 'The Sequence of Good and Bad Dream Signs.' Various activities, dream signs. Oṃ āḥ hūṃ! From 'Guru's Intentions United (blama dgongs pa 'dus pa),' this is the teaching called 'The Sequence of Good and Bad Dream Signs.' These are the six kinds of manifest consciousness of temporary interdependence. Namo Guru Deva Ḍākinī Hūṃ! The yogi who takes devotion to the guru, yidam, and ḍākinīs as the path, if he wishes to examine the good and bad signs of dreams, should do so in a secluded place, when the stars are auspicious and during the waxing moon, such as the eighth day, in a clean place. This has three parts: first, approaching and accomplishing; then, applying it to activities; and then, the actual examination. First: In a clean place, perform cleaning and single purification. Sprinkle with fragrant water. Burn gugul or incense. Then, arrange the representations and offerings of the guru, yidam, and ḍākinīs. Prepare tormas of the three white and three sweet substances. The practitioner himself should bathe, burn incense, and wear clean, new clothes. Abstain from meat, alcohol, and garlic. With refuge and bodhicitta, instantly visualize oneself as Padmasambhava, with Amitābha (snang ba mtha' yas) above one's crown, red in color, with the mudrā of meditative equipoise, adorned in the attire of the Sambhogakāya. At one's throat, visualize white Avalokiteśvara (spyan ras gzigs), with one face and four arms. At one's heart, visualize the Blessed One, Śākyamuni (bcom ldan 'das shAkya thub pa), with the right hand touching the earth and the left hand in meditative equipoise, adorned in the attire of the Nirmāṇakāya. After visualizing, invite the wisdom beings and dissolve them into oneself. Make offerings. Without mixing speech with others, recite 'Oṃ buddha curu ke mahā curu ke hrīḥ huṃ svāhā' (藏文:ཨོཾ་བུདྡྷ་ཙུ་རུ་ཀེ༔ མ་ཧཱ་ཙུ་རུ་ཀེ་ཧྲཱིཿམུཾ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ༔,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ buddha curu ke mahā curu ke hrīḥ huṃ svāhā,汉语字面意思:嗡,佛陀,祖如格,玛哈,祖如格,啥,吽,梭哈) for three nights. Tie on white and red sandalwood, rue, etc., as counted. Place them in a container of milk from a newly born girl who has not yet drunk her mother's milk, mixed with ghee. This should not be seen by any other living being, and the practice should be kept secret from others. By doing so, the senses will be clear, the mind will be pure, and all dreams will appear clearly without diminishing. This is a sign of purifying obscurations, and common friends will also appear. During the session breaks, offer tormas and offerings to the guru, yidam, ḍākinīs, Amitābha (snang ba mtha' yas), and Avalokiteśvara (spyan ras gzigs), and the Blessed One, according to the Kriya tantra. Secondly, applying it to activities: When you want to examine dreams, as before, during the waxing moon... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When it is time to sleep, clean the place and burn incense; face the pillow towards the north, and in front of the pillow, display representations of the three places (body, speech, and mind) of the deity, such as tsakalis, offer the five offerings, and arrange a torma decorated with the three whites (milk, yogurt, butter) and the three sweets (honey, brown sugar, rock sugar); wear clean clothes and cushions; bathe yourself, burn incense; strongly focus on the desire to examine dreams without distraction; clearly visualize the three supports (body, speech, and mind) on the pillow, and offer the seven-branch offering and the torma; then first visualize yourself as Vajrasattva, and recite the hundred-syllable mantra as much as possible; then Vajrasattva dissolves into light, and visualize your body as a crystal ball, pure and without impurities, as a single whole; the essence of your consciousness, visualize as a white and bright letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, Chinese literal meaning: none), shining in the center of the crystal palace, focusing on it without distraction; recite the above root mantra and: Om Mutsi Ni Soha (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མུ་ཙི་ནི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओँ मुचिनि स्वाहा, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: oṃ mucini svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Please liberate me! And so on, think without distraction about what you want to know, and also recite the prayer three times; when examining in this way, avoid eating dinner, and wear clothes that are neither too warm nor too cold; especially when about to fall asleep, think about what you want to know, and do not let other thoughts interrupt; when you wake up, hold on to (the dream) with mindfulness, visualize clearly, and identify what you dreamed; Third, about how to examine dreams: In the evening, most of the dreams of habits will appear; at noon, the dreams of afflictions will appear; at dawn, the dreams of good and bad omens will appear; some people will also appear uncertainly (various dreams); there are seven types: identifying signs, divining good dreams, divining bad dreams, mixed dreams, dreams that seem good but are bad, and dreams that seem bad but are good. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
