Explanation of the Empowerment of Great Compassion Guhyasamaja, Clarified with Expansions, Contractions, Additions, and Subtractions. Ratna's Great Compassion Guhyasamaja. Great Empowerment. Explanation of the Empowerment of Great Compassion Guhyasamaja, Clarified with Expansions, Contractions, Additions, and Subtractions. May all sentient beings who are our mothers, pervading the realm of Dharma and the sphere of space, and who are deluded, confused, and ignorant, be established in the state of the Bhagavan Avalokiteśvara, Lord of the World. For that purpose, enter the door of the ripening empowerment, the root of the Vajrayana path, and strive to learn the profound stages of the liberating path. Generate a clear and vast Bodhicitta. Listen with proper conduct and respect. There are two parts: generating joy in the listener and explaining the actual subject matter. First, to mention a brief history: The embodiment of the wisdom of non-referential compassion of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions is known as the noble Avalokiteśvara, Lord of the World. Because his power of compassion surpasses all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, he is called Great Compassion. Because he manifests the bodies and pure lands of the Buddhas like an ocean pervading space, he is called Ocean of Buddhas. Because the Vajra secrets of all the Tathagatas are gathered into one, he is called Guhyasamaja (Secret Assembly). Because he transforms the boundless play of great miracles pervading samsara and nirvana, he is called Lord of Dance. Because he empties the depths of samsara and controls the worlds of the ten directions through his activities, he is called Lord of the World. Because he constantly gazes with compassionate eyes upon beings pervading space, especially in realms filled with the five degenerations, he is called Avalokiteśvara, Lord of the World, and so on. These are countless names derived from the qualities of his meaning, pervading all realms. At the time of the Dharmakaya of the Buddhas, he is the primordial protector, the majestic Amitabha. At the time of the Sambhogakaya, he is the radiant manifestation of the great snow mountain and lotus lake. At the time of the Nirmanakaya, there are the lords of all-seeing Avalokiteśvara, Lokéśvara (lokéśvara, लोकेश्वर, लोक ईश्वर, Lord of the World) and the peaceful deities such as the thousand-armed and thousand-eyed, and the wrathful deities such as the glorious Hayagriva. And the wheel-turning lords of the great secret mandalas such as the Ocean of Buddhas Guhyasamaja, and the manifestations of wisdom such as the secret wisdom Dakini and the sacred Tara, appearing in forms that tame beings. And the Swift-Acting Wisdom Protector and Jambhala (Jambhala, जम्भल, जमभल, Zambala, धनपति, God of wealth), etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

White lotus and so on, with extremely swift compassion, granting all desires without hindrance, like a vast cloud of emanations, never ceasing as long as samsara lasts, filling and expanding throughout the realm of Dharma. For those who are difficult to tame due to extremely poor fortune, there are forms that liberate upon seeing, mantras that liberate upon recitation, samadhi that liberates upon remembrance, mudras that liberate upon touch, sacred substances that liberate upon tasting, profound meanings that liberate upon hearing, incense that liberates upon smelling, and so on. The scope of activities surpasses other Buddhas in many ways, wielding boundless power. In particular, this land of Tibet, the dark land of red faces untouched by the feet of Buddhas, is the sole field of taming for the noble Avalokiteśvara (Chenrezig), who first plants the seeds of happiness, and then appears as Dharma-protecting kings and ministers, learned and accomplished virtuous spiritual friends. Ordinary people, and even various high and low emanations of birds and wild animals, are countless. Even objects such as earth, stones, mountains, rocks, water, and trees are blessed with the nature of liberation. In short, all that supports and is supported is solely held by the compassion of the noble Avalokiteśvara. Therefore, reciting his name, chanting his mantras, accumulating merit towards him, and entering the path of maturation and liberation will bring blessings more swiftly than other Buddhas. This arises from the interdependent relationship between the land and its inhabitants. Secondly, to briefly explain the reason for this, our teacher, who possesses skillful means and great compassion, when turning the wheel of Dharma in the world, spoke of the name, contemplation, dharani, sutras, and profound causes of the noble Avalokiteśvara in numerous ways. Based on this, those who have attained siddhis are as numerous as the dust of the great earth. Among the countless instructions and stages of practice from various accomplished masters in India and Tibet, the most supreme is the lineage of Guru Padmasambhava, in which Avalokiteśvara himself manifested as the Vajra Master. The great master was invited to Tibet by the king who was an emanation of Manjushri, subdued all the evil gods, demons, and spirits, built monasteries, established the Sangha, and bestowed blessings for the unobstructed and complete translation of the sutras and tantras into Tibetan. In particular, he bestowed upon fortunate ones numerous tantras, agamas, and upadeshas of the secret mantra Vajrayana, enabling the flourishing of hearing, contemplation, and meditation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
