This is the oral transmission. I, Orgyen (Sanskrit: Udyana, meaning 'Lotus Born'), attained Buddhahood between life and death. In order to understand the order of coming and going, and to complete and supplement the supreme Dharma, I write it down in order. May this become a treasure for the fortunate practitioners! Samaya (Sanskrit: Samaya, meaning 'vow')! Gya Gya Gya (Tibetan transliteration, meaning 'go, go, go')! Seal the treasure! Seal the hidden! Seal the profound! Seal the vow! Seal the command! Om Ah Hum! From the Dzogchen (Sanskrit: Atiyoga, meaning 'Great Perfection') Nyingtik (meaning 'Heart Essence') Hum cycle, the transference of consciousness, Phowa (Sanskrit: phowa, meaning 'transference of consciousness') Great Arrow, is present here. Homage to the Three Kayas (bodies of Buddha) Great Blissful Deities! For those of superior capacity, in this life, they are liberated by the wisdom cultivated in previous lives, and they can also attain Buddhahood through diligent practice; for those of inferior capacity, with weak diligence, there is a method to attain Buddhahood without practice, which is this Phowa Great Arrow. Future disciples should diligently practice this method! This method has three parts: preliminary, main practice, and concluding practice. Preliminary: make offerings of Tsok (Sanskrit: Ganachakra, meaning 'gathering circle') and Torma (Sanskrit: Torma, meaning 'sacrificial cake') to please the Buddhas. First, let go of the emptiness of all phenomena and abide in this state. After one day, the next morning, sit in the vajra posture, place the palms of both hands on the knees, visualize your body as a hollow tree trunk, white on the outside and red on the inside, like a reed, and focus your awareness on this. Practice in emptiness for one day. Main practice: In your heart center, visualize a golden five-pronged vajra, the size of a thumb. Then, recite 'Hik' (Tibetan: ཧིཀ྄, Sanskrit: hik, Romanized Sanskrit: hik, literal Chinese meaning: 'hey'), each time visualizing the vajra rushing upwards to the crown chakra. Practice this for one day. After that, among the Dharmakaya (body of essence), Sambhogakaya (body of enjoyment), and Nirmanakaya (body of emanation), the Dharmakaya is without any attachment. In the boundless space, without any distinction or attachment, let it freely transfer consciousness. Thus, in the state of non-birth, be thoroughly liberated. Sambhogakaya, in the pure lands of the Five Buddha Families (Sanskrit: pañcabuddhakṣetra), transfer consciousness to the heart of the chosen deity with a humming sound. Nirmanakaya, transfer consciousness to the heart of your own guru. No matter where the consciousness is transferred, signs of habituation will appear, such as pain in the crown of the head, opening of the Brahma aperture, hair standing on end, bleeding, trembling of the body, falling, swaying, and so on. At the time of transference, like shooting a Phowa Great Arrow, with great force, without any obstruction, go with a humming sound. Visualize in this way. At most three times, multiple times are dangerous, so it should be done moderately. If there is a fault, strike the sole of the man's foot, or pull the pistil of the woman's lotus, and it will return. At the time of returning, recite 'Ka' (Tibetan: ཀ, Sanskrit: ka, Romanized Sanskrit: ka, literal Chinese meaning: 'ga'), with great force visualize the golden vajra returning to the heart center. After that, let go and abide in the natural state without fabrication. This method can also be practiced when drunk, during sexual climax, and when afflictions are raging. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who would not be clear! There is a fault of going to extremes. In the samaya (誓言,vow), it is very important to meditate once a month on the fifteenth without interruption. This is like repairing the ancestral irrigation ditch, or it is something that must be accomplished. Then, seal it with dedication: Ema! May I attain the Dharmakaya (法身,Dharmakāya) for my own benefit, may I attain the Rupakaya (色身,Rūpakāya) for the benefit of others, may I be completely liberated from samsara (轮回,saṃsāra), may all the merits accumulated in the past, present, and future be dedicated to the six realms of parent beings, may they be naturally liberated without experiencing the bardo (中阴,bardo), and attain the fruit of the Trikaya (三身,Trikāya)! Say this. Ema! This great transference arrow method is the practice realm of a few fortunate ones, may I meet with those who accumulate merit! Samaya! Seal! Seal! Command Seal! Vow Seal! Secret Seal! No Spreading Seal! No Diminishing Seal! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
