May the nectar rain descend. Oṃ dhāraṇi dhāraṇi, uddhāraṇi, saṃpratiṣṭhite, vijaya varṇa, satya pratijñā sāraha, jñāna vati, utpādani, vināmani, abhiṣecani, abhibyāhāra, śubhāvati, ajimatu, ehi kumbāla na, bāha hara kleśāna, dhuna pāpaṃ śodhaya margāna, nirāhi ka dharmātā śuddha, loka biti mari rāja sa, duḥkha śamana sarva buddha avalokana adhiṣṭhite prajñā jñāna bhe svāhā. Nāga rāca tri pāla jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ. Oṃ phuṭa phuṭa mahā krodha hūṃ. Siddhi siddhi phuṭa ya hūṃ phaṭ svāhā. Bhari śaya nāga rāca samaya. Bhari śaya nāga rāca pramani svāhā. Oṃ phuḥ nāga śa śa phob. Oṃ phe nāga śu śu phob. Oṃ pho nāga hrīṃ hrīṃ phob. Bhari śaya dhanaḥ ni svāhā. Gods, dragons, and the eight classes, now immediately send down heavy rain, svāhā. This is a summary of the meaning of the Great Cloud Sūtra. It is written during times of drought, like the Chinese astrological calculations that say this year will have early drought and late flooding. Therefore, with a mind of benefiting others, it was written on the tenth day of the Saga month (fourth month of the Tibetan calendar) of the Water Rabbit year. May it greatly benefit all sentient beings. May there be auspiciousness! A Prayer: Abiding White Clouds of Nectar Namo Lokéśvarāya (Homage to Avalokiteśvara). The lord of the ten bhūmis, King of the nāgas, With great hand and endless retinue. I pray, look with compassion, Quickly send down the rain of blessings. An emanation of the Sugata, Lord of the Nāgas, Youthful and wrathful King of the Nāgas. I pray, look with compassion, Quickly send down the rain of blessings. If you transgress the command, In this life, your heads will split into a hundred pieces. In the next life, you will experience the suffering of Avici (མནར་མེད, mnar med, Avīci, uninterrupted hell). Take your own body as an example, And abandon the mind of harming others. May the gods and Nagas (ཀླུ, Nāga, Nāga, serpent beings) send down rain, May the world be happy and peaceful, And may auspiciousness and good harvests increase. Thus, when the rain-summoning words were spoken, immediately thunder sounded and other auspicious signs appeared.
