The main generation stage: HRIH (Hrih, seed syllable, ഹ്രീഃ, hrīḥ, great origin), Likewise, the unreal, free from elaboration, is the realm of Dharma. Sentient beings of the six realms who have not realized this are truly pitiable. From the cause, all is generated. From the HRIH (Hrih, seed syllable, ഹ്രീഃ, hrīḥ, great origin) syllable, light radiates and gathers, completing an immeasurable palace adorned with ornaments and eight lotus petals. In the center, upon a jeweled throne with lotus and moon cushions, is Padmasambhava Amitayus (one of the manifestations of Amitabha), inseparable from oneself and the front. His body is red and radiant, adorned with silk and jewels. He has one face and two arms, holding a longevity vase in a gesture of meditation. The white-clad White Tara holds an arrow-banner and a longevity vase. The father and mother are in union, dwelling in bliss. On the four lotus petals are the four families of longevity goddesses, the four families of Hayagriva (horse-necked one), assemblies of dakinis and kinnaras (divine musicians), and the four classes of doorkeepers and dharma protectors, appearing as clear as a dense cloud. Invocation: HRIH (Hrih, seed syllable, ഹ്രീഃ, hrīḥ, great origin), From the spontaneously accomplished Great Bliss Palace of Ogmin (Akanishta), I invite the Bhagavan Amitayus, the protector, and the assembly of deities, to come to this sacred place, bestow empowerment and blessings, and grant the accomplishments of body, speech, and mind. āyuḥ deva sa pa ri bā ra bajra sa ma ya jaḥ jaḥ (ayuḥ deva sa pa ri bā ra bajra sa ma ya jaḥ jaḥ, longevity deity with retinue, vajra, samaya, jah jah) Recite this to invoke. āyuḥ deva sa pa ri bā ra sa ma ya tiṣṭha lhan (ayuḥ deva sa pa ri bā ra sa ma ya tiṣṭha lhan, longevity deity with retinue, samaya, tistha lhan) Request them to abide. a ti pū ho pra tīccha ho (a ti pū ho, pra tīccha ho, supreme offering, receive offering) Make prostrations. Offering: HRIH (Hrih, seed syllable, ഹ്രീഃ, hrīḥ, great origin), Clouds of offerings from the self-arisen realm of Dharma, offered in a state of ungrasping self-illumination. To the assembly of deities, who are without birth or death, I offer substances to fulfill the samaya (vow). āyuḥ deva sa pa ri bā ra arghaṃ (ayuḥ deva sa pa ri bā ra arghaṃ, longevity deity with retinue, argham) and so forth. mahā pañca a mṛ ta khā hi (mahā pañca a mṛ ta khā hi, great, five, nectar, eat) mahā ba liṃ ta khā hi (mahā ba liṃ ta khā hi, great, balimta, eat) mahā rakta khā hi (mahā rakta khā hi, great, blood, eat) Praise: Guide of the world, Vajra, Ratna (jewel), Padma (lotus), and Karma (action) families, the father and mother deities of longevity who subdue the four maras (demons), complete with the ornaments of signs and examples, endowed with the four wisdoms, I prostrate and praise the body of the Bhagavan's four families. The five families of the supreme horse, the assemblies of dakinis and kinnaras, endowed with the four immeasurables, protecting the four gates, the inner and outer workers who obey orders are inconceivable. I prostrate and praise the deities of the complete mandala. Thus praise. Recitation: From the HRIH (Hrih, seed syllable, ഹ്രീഃ, hrīḥ, great origin) syllable in the heart of oneself and the deity in front, light radiates, accomplishing the two benefits, and then gathers back, obtaining accomplishment. Visualize gathering the essence of life from the realms of the world, as in the common practice, and recite: oṃ āḥ hūṃ bajra guru padma āyu jñā na hūṃ bhrūṃ nṛ ja (oṃ āḥ hūṃ bajra guru padma āyu jñā na hūṃ bhrūṃ nṛ ja, Om Ah Hum, Vajra Guru Padma Ayu Jnana Hum Bhrum Nri Ja) without interruption. Again, make offerings and praise. To summon life, wave the arrow-banner and ring the bell, as described below. Afterward, if you wish to take disciples, purify them with the activity vase, cast the exorcism torma (ritual cake), visualize the protective circle, perform the opening and closing of the mandala, and then generate bodhicitta (the mind of enlightenment), giving the common explanation of empowerment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
