The Teaching on the Secret Precious Immortal Life Divination. Homage to Amitāyus (梵文：Amitāyus，阿弥陀尤斯，无量寿), the essence of all Tathāgatas, the embodiment of all qualities and activities! For fortunate yogis and accomplished ones, I will briefly explain how to examine the length of life by relying on the lineage of immortal life. There are four aspects to life divination: 1. Explaining the causes that diminish life; 2. Explaining the signs of life diminishing; 3. Explaining the teacher who summons life; 4. Explaining the actual method of accomplishing life. Among these, there are four causes that diminish life: 1. Mental disturbance; 2. Arising of intense hatred; 3. Breaking the root samayas (梵文：samaya，三昧耶，誓言) of body, speech, and mind; 4. Unhappiness. These become the realm of obstructing forces that steal life and inhale breath. There are four signs of life diminishing: 1. Getting angry at the retinue; 2. Change in complexion; 3. Inappropriate behavior; 4. Dislike of food. These are the signs of diminishing. Also, signs of life diminishing include: Dreaming of the sun setting; The land becoming barren; Unhappiness; Anger; Difficulty falling asleep; Having bad dreams; Wandering alone; Being naked; Being imprisoned in jail or a hole; Dreaming of losing sheep and turquoise. Whatever occurs, these are signs of diminishing. There are three teachers who extend life: 1. Mastering samādhi (梵文：samādhi，三摩地，等持); 2. Possessing all qualities; 3. Having great power and being close to the oath-bound; Receiving the transmission and instructions, summoning will surely summon. Explaining the actual method of accomplishing life: 1. Abiding in meditation and invoking the deity; 2. Explaining the nature of life; 3. Summoning life; 4. Binding life; 5. Reciting mantras and restoring life; 6. Bestowing the empowerment of the life vase and merging. There are seven. These are all explained in the life accomplishment methods. Signs of summoning life: If the life torma (藏文：ཟན་，梵文：bali，巴利，食子) is white and glossy, it is summoned; If the life chang (Tibetan beer) is warm and full of essence, it is summoned; If the yungdrung (藏文：གཡུང་དྲུང་，梵文：svastika，斯瓦斯提卡，吉祥) pattern is surrounded by others, it is summoned; If pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and wrathful activities are connected like a string of beads, it is summoned. 如果家宅整体出现裂痕则不吉利；金刚杵的根部开裂，对男性不利；莲花花瓣开裂，对孩子不利；宝瓶破裂或寿命之酒流失，对财富不利。检查方法：内部平滑宽敞，对人畜都吉祥；内部粗糙或出现孔洞，财富会遭受损失，且有盗贼入侵。 如果出现三角形的截断线，表示有邪恶力量，需要用金刚橛（藏文：ཕུར་བ，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：，汉语字面意思：）进行压制。检查的诀窍是：观察寿命果，如果日月向上，对男性不利，需要进行赎命仪式，念诵祈寿经文。如果向上的是增长，则好；右侧向上，则一般；如果寂静向上，对家宅不利，需要进行百四仪轨，念诵《二万颂》。如果敌对方向上，则非常不吉利，需要重复进行赎命仪式，这样才能克服。如果增长向上，寿命和福德会衰减，需要招财，进行祈寿法事，念诵赎命经文和《普贤行愿品》。如果财富的寿命果向上，对财富不利，容易出现空虚和危险。如果是权势向上，对财富不利，需要招财，进行抵押，对男性不利，念诵《般若经》。如果向右倾斜，对男性财富不利；如果向左倾斜，对女性财富不利；如果凶猛向上，对小孩不利，需要进行替身和解除邪灵的仪式，进行赎命仪式，念诵五守护经。如果凶猛的寿命果刺入角落，会对金刚橛（藏文：ཕུར་བ，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：，汉语字面意思：）造成损害，需要进行禳解仪式。如果在雍仲（藏文：གཡུང་དྲུང，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：，汉语字面意思：）图案的中心，周围环绕其他图案，则吉祥，不需要进行任何仪式。如果在上方出现像门打开一样的形状，表示天门打开，对年长的男性不利，封闭天门和念诵《普贤行愿品》非常重要。 如果在下方出现像门打开一样的形状，表示地门破裂，对财富和小孩不利，需要进行抵押，招财，念诵五守护经非常重要。如果像云雾消散一样，对人畜都不利，容易出现空虚，需要镇压尸魔，供养土地神，通过五要素的朵玛来驱除邪灵。如果像堆积珍宝一样，表示人丁不兴旺，需要压制战神；如果是财富之地，则财富增多；如果是牲畜之地，则牲畜兴旺，非常吉祥，对任何方面都有利。如果像珍宝黄金的地面一样，表示田地和房屋会受到龙族的侵扰，需要注意不洁之物，太阳从南方照射也会引起龙族的侵扰，泉水之地的人畜和食物都会增多，非常吉祥，如果有病人，病情会很严重，但不会死亡。如果像用线串起来的珍珠一样，表示要将有特殊标记的牲畜或马、牦牛等作为护法的供奉物，对人畜都有利。如果出现雍仲（藏文：གཡུང་དྲུང，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：，汉语字面意思：）图案，表示会获得财富，积累功德，建造城堡，子孙绵延，寿命长久，赞颂护法，供养男神，非常吉祥。

Examination method: If the inside is smooth and spacious, it is auspicious for both people and livestock; if the inside is rough or there are holes, wealth will be lost and thieves will invade. If a triangular cut-off line appears, it indicates the presence of evil forces, which need to be suppressed with a phurba (藏文：ཕུར་བ，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：，汉语字面意思：). The trick to check is: observe the life fruit, if the sun and moon are upward, it is bad for men, and a ransom ritual is required, chanting longevity scriptures. If what is upward is growth, then it is good; if the right side is upward, it is average; if tranquility is upward, it is bad for the house, and a hundred and four rituals are required, chanting the 'Twenty Thousand Verses'. If the enemy direction is upward, it is very inauspicious, and the ransom ritual needs to be repeated to overcome it. If growth is upward, life and merit will decline, and wealth needs to be attracted, longevity rituals need to be performed, and ransom scriptures and the 'Samantabhadra's Prayer' need to be chanted. If the life fruit of wealth is upward, it is bad for wealth, and emptiness and danger are prone to occur. If power is upward, it is bad for wealth, and wealth needs to be attracted, mortgages need to be made, it is bad for men, and the 'Prajna Sutra' needs to be chanted. If it leans to the right, it is bad for male wealth; if it leans to the left, it is bad for female wealth; if it is fierce upward, it is bad for young children, and rituals for substitutes and dispelling evil spirits are required, ransom rituals are performed, and the Five Protective Sutras are chanted. If it is like clouds dissipating, it is bad for both people and livestock, and emptiness is prone to occur, so it is necessary to suppress the corpse demon, offer to the land god, and dispel evil spirits through the five-element torma. If it is like piling up treasures, it means that the population will not prosper, and the war god needs to be suppressed; if it is a land of wealth, wealth will increase; if it is a land of livestock, livestock will prosper, which is very auspicious and beneficial in all aspects. If it is like a ground of precious gold, it means that fields and houses will be disturbed by the nagas, and attention should be paid to unclean things, and the sun shining from the south will also cause the nagas to be disturbed. The people, livestock, and food in the spring water land will increase, which is very auspicious, and if there is a patient, the condition will be serious, but they will not die. If it is like pearls strung on a thread, it means that livestock with special markings or horses, yaks, etc. should be established as offerings to the Dharma protectors, which is beneficial to both people and livestock.
