From the Kagye Rangjung Rangshar of the Great Treasure, here is the empowerment ritual of the complete Garuda, called 'Vajra Garland'. Pacifying demonic influences, the Northern Treasure Garuda Completion, practice empowerment. Namo Guru Vajra Krodhaya! Subduing samsara and nirvana, Heruka! Manifesting as the powerful sky-soaring one! To the one who tames the wicked, I pay homage! Now, I shall arrange the Vajra Garland. When the time comes to accomplish this ripening, in the center of the platform, arrange the self-generation, offerings, medicine, rakta, and torma, etc., as appropriate. On the mandala in the center of the platform, arrange five heaps, with a vase filled with substances and essence. In front, place the main blue Garuda, along with two tsakalis (paintings or models) of the four Garuda families. To the right and left, place the crown ornaments, vajra, and bell. In front of that, arrange the common outer and inner offerings and tormas, and gather the necessary implements. Then, perform the self-generation, the Kagye Rangshar practice, or, through familiarity with meditation, simply recite the mantra. Recite the mantra a hundred thousand times. If that is not accomplished, even just performing the Nyang tradition's single mudra practice is sufficient. Again, bless the offerings, visualizing oneself as the yidam deity, in front of whom... perform the generation stage from the treasure text, from invitation to offering. Perform as much recitation and practice as possible, and when performing activities, recite the mantra, offer tormas, and perform praise and supplication. Receive the meditation empowerment or cast the wisdom flower and receive permission. Purify the students with water from the vase blessed with the protective circle mantra. Expel obstacles and visualize the protective circle, generate bodhicitta and clarify, etc. Here, the emanation of the treasure revealer, the king of all accomplished ones, Nanam Dorje Dudjom, the great vidyadhara Dondrub Gyaltsen, from the northern Zangzang Lhadrak, brought forth the great dharma chest of the five treasures, among which, from the eastern White Dung Treasury, came the complete three parts of the Kagye Drakpo Rangjung Rangshar, especially praised for subduing the wicked and unruly beings of the degenerate age, primarily the earth lords, nagas, and nyen spirits, performing the complete Gyalse Garuda empowerment, etc., offer the mandala.
