Great Compassion, Eye Opener, Nyangton Drubpa's Terma. Peaceful activities, Eye Opening. Great Compassion, Eye Opener, Nyangton Drubpa's Terma. The history of the Great Compassion Eye Opening is: Geshe (dge ba'i bshes gnyen) Nyangton Drubpa extracted it from the Terma of Lhodrak Kharchu (lho brag mkhar chu). It cleared his own eyes. Then, Geshe Dingmapa's (ding ma pa) eyes were cleared in Nyangtod (nyang stod), so it is known to be profound. Do not be stingy, spread it widely. The actual practice method of this is: Visualize yourself as Great Compassionate One, one face and four arms, seated on a lotus and moon seat. The first two of the four arms are making the mudra of applying mantra water to the eyes. The lower right hand holds a silver vase filled with nectar, and the lower left hand holds a mirror. Adorned with precious jewels. Recite this mantra without interruption between words, one million times. Write this mantra twenty-one times on the base of the ring finger of the left hand before eating. Then, use the ring finger of the right hand to apply mantra water to the left eye. (Sanskrit Devanagari) tad-ya-tha, om hu-ya hu-ya, hu-du hu-du, ki-li ki-li, cakshu maitri shatru naye svaha (Sanskrit Romanization) Thus, Om, Huya Huya, Hudu Hudu, Kili Kili, Eye, Loving-kindness, Shatru, Lead, Svaha. (Literal meaning of Chinese) Seal, seal, seal. There are two forms of this deity, standing and sitting, so it is important to examine them carefully. Or look at them during practice and activity. Homage to the supreme Lama! Take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha three times. Then purify into emptiness. From within emptiness, on top of a lotus and moon, the white syllable HRIH (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrih) radiates light, making offerings to the noble ones and benefiting sentient beings. Transforming into oneself, visualize as Avalokiteshvara, one face and four arms. The two root hands make the mudra of opening the eyes, applying mantra water to the eyes. The lower right hand holds a white silver vase filled with nectar, and the lower left hand holds a white silver mirror, illuminating the infinite realms, bathing the body. Both feet are standing for the benefit of beings, adorned with various precious jewels, wearing a white silk upper garment and a pañcalika skirt. The left breast is covered with a krishnasara deer skin. With Amitabha (snang ba mtha' yas) as the lord of the family, the seed syllable at the heart is surrounded by a mantra garland, radiating light, mantra power, and mudras. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By blessing at the crown chakra, it can eliminate diseases caused by wind, bile, phlegm, etc., as well as internal and external discomforts. For eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, vascular proliferation, and growths, as well as dry eyes, wet eyes, blepharitis, and eye eczema, it has the powerful ability to eliminate all eye problems. Thinking in this way, then recite the mantra: ཏདྱ་ཐཱ། ཨཱོྃ་ཧུ་ཡ་ ཧུ་ཡ། ཧུ་དུ་ཧུ་དུ། ཀི་ལི་ཀི་ལི་ཙཀྵུཿམཻ་ཏྲི་ཤཱ་ཏྲུ་ན་ཡེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། TADYATHĀ OM HŪYA HŪYA HŪDU HŪDU KILI KILI CAKṢU MAITRI ŚĀTRU NAYA SVĀHĀ Then recite 'Omniscient, possessing wisdom eyes, without defects,' etc., and 'Without defects,' etc. The above content seems to be the most original terma of this version. There are both concise and detailed versions here, but the following content seems to be oral practice guidance. The oral instruction for opening the eyes through the Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara is the terma of Nyang, which is the third clarification point. Guru Padma Siddhi Hūṃ Hrīḥ Guru Padma Siddhi Hūṃ Hrīḥ Homage to the deity who constantly observes all beings with great compassion! In order to see things as clearly as the eyes of the Buddhas, I will explain the method of opening the fragile, bubble-like eyes through the deity, and the origin of the profound oral instructions that rely on mantras. First, regarding the historical origin of this method: The great Nyangton Drupapa, also known as the great lord Nyangrel, whose real name was Nyima Özer (Sunlight), extracted this method from the terma of Lhodrak Kharchu. After that, he practiced it himself and eliminated all eye diseases. Later, when Geshe Dingmapa's eyes deteriorated, Nyangton transmitted this oral instruction to him, restoring his vision. It is said that by practicing mantra recitation in retreat, one can open wisdom and receive great blessings. He warned: 'Understand this method deeply, do not be stingy, and spread it widely to those who can be taught.' Such an oral instruction, the son of Nyangchen, the protector of beings, received the terma scroll when he was circumambulating Srowo Chakpo. Through practice, he restored his eyesight and extended his life. As the terma scroll showed, Drangso Ngagchang Shakya Zangpo, while circumambulating the holy site of Tamshul Riwoche in Lhodrak, seemed to have been blown away by the wind. He effortlessly found the text of this oral instruction. It is said that he received the blessing of this oral instruction without relying on the transmission of a master, which is very special. He eventually completed his life, and his vision was also restored. After that, the great Ari Rigzin Lekden Zhabs received the blessings of the three profound termas. In order to benefit beings, he lived for hundreds of years, diligently spreading the Dharma day and night. He was a person without signs of aging, possessing wisdom eyes, and he happily transmitted this method to me. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
