Namo Guru (藏文:ན་མོ་གུ་རུ།,梵文天城体:नमोगुरु,梵文罗马拟音:namo guru,Homage to the Guru)! I prostrate to all the venerable Lamas! This instruction is for when there is a great Bön curse, or if there is harm from curses due to conflict with Bönpos; then this is offered. If livestock die, etc., and the spirit is not identified, then this is offered to all, it is said. It was composed and hidden as treasure by Guru Padmasambhava on the border of Tibet and China, and extracted from the treasure of Copper Cliff Rock by Guru Jo Tse. It is a commitment not to show this text to those who do not hold the lineage of Padma, or to those with perverted views who have no samaya. The first practice of this is to gather: a hundred meats, a hundred foods, a hundred bundles of grass, a monkey, a mule, a dzomo, a nag, loads, silks and other crafts, armor and other offerings. Also, whatever grains are available, such as beans, sesame, etc., fill a precious vessel, and prepare pure first-drawn chang, and offer it as ransom. First, take refuge in your chosen Yidam and the Three Jewels, and generate Bodhicitta. Bless with the Six Syllable Mantra and the Six Mudras, and then offer from a state of loving-kindness and compassion: Beat the drum and play music, accompanied by song, saying this: Hūṃ! Where did the first king come from? The first came from the realm of the gods. Then where did the royal lineage descend? It descended to the land of humans, in the quiet place. Then where did the royal lineage descend? It descended to the king born from demons. Then where did the royal lineage descend? It descended to the Arhat, the Vanquisher, the Thubpa (Buddha). Then where did the royal lineage descend? It descended to the Chakravartin king. Then where did the royal lineage descend? It descended to King Tri Tri. Then where did the royal lineage descend? It descended to King Trisong Detsen. Then where did the royal lineage descend? It descended to the king of Tibet. Then where did the royal lineage descend? It descended to the seven hunters. Then where did the royal lineage descend? Today it descends to this patron. Today, we invite witnesses and testifiers: From above, we invite Indra, lord of the gods, as witness and testifier for the king. We invite you to come to this place with your entire retinue, and offer a hundred meats and a hundred foods as ransom, release the bound and free the imprisoned. From below, we invite: Gawa and Jokpo, etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
