Therefore, I, Padmasambhava, teach the method of suppression: The Phung demon (Phung-'dre) has the form of a marmot or rabbit; The human demon has the form of a thief or child; The God demon (God-'dre) harms, having the form of a bear; The Za demon (Za-'dre) is a Bsenmo, having the form of a woman. Write these four crossed and surround them with mantras: Mila Kuru Nana, Marmot Shanti Nana (Bse-rag Shan-tri Nana), God Demon Tsantri Nana (God-'dre Tsan-tri Nana), Bsenmo Rutri Nana (Bse-mo Ru-tri Nana), Kala Shatrum Nana (Ka-la Sha-trum Nana), Harmful Sgab Demon Maraya Nana (Gnod-byed Sgab-'dre Ma-ra-ya Nana). If suppressing the God demon, recite: Harmful God Demon Maraya Nana (Gnod-byed God-'dre Ma-ra-ya Nana). Recite and suppress for the first three days, suppressing it under the threshold of your own house. Visualize not releasing it for a thousand kalpas, and afterwards recite the ash mantra a hundred times each day. May auspiciousness, merit, meaning, and accomplishment increase. May the harmful God demon be pacified. This is also the root of the instructions, so hold it. Combining the four, it is the practice of subduing the elements, so it is extremely important. With the pride of your own yidam deity, hook and invite, and strike with the kīla. The suppression of the Sgab demon is complete.
