He is the manager of all Terma (hidden treasures), performing various activities with countless names and manifestations. As it is said: 'Especially Vajra Legpa (Dorje Lekpa), never deviates from the oath of Padma (Lotus), he is the protector of all followers. Close! Pure vow! Easy to invoke! Quick to accomplish! Little opposition! Gathers food and wealth! Increases retinue and fame! Spreads Dharma and lineage! Generates power and strength! This deity's father is a demon, so he is powerful! His mother is a ogress, so she is wealthy! He himself is strong, so he is mighty! His friends are steadfast, so he is close! His retinue is the Eight Classes of gods and demons, so his activities are swift!' The praise is true to its meaning, so from all the Termas, countless long and short practices of this deity have emerged. However, the practice of the Life-Wheel (Sog gi Khorlo) taken as Terma by Dro-dul Les-phro Lingpa from Lhodrak Kharchu Chakphurchen, possesses profound and essential points that excel all other practices. In the secret practice of this deity, it says: 'Orgyen Padmasambhava, subdued the arrogant hosts, they each offered the essence of their lives, promised to protect the Dharma, and vowed to accomplish activities. For each one, there are practices, as well as suppression, entrustment, killing, and miracles, etc., done extensively and hidden as Terma. Everything is like an ocean of poison and a great thunderbolt in the sky, although the points of contact contain many profound essentials, especially the power of the red and black bindus, the oath-bound protector Vajra Legpa is the leader of the Eight Classes, and the master of all fierce activities. Easy to practice, close, and with pure vows, he is appointed as the manager of all profound Termas. Although it contains practice cycles and activity practices, and many Termas are hidden, especially this fierce secret practice, is unique and contains profound essentials.' This is declared by the Vajra speech, between the welcoming of the powerful Dharma protector and the empowerment, begin the offering of the Mandala. The master himself visualizes as the body of great compassion and wrath, the king of wrathful deities, the actual manifestation of the powerful Hayagriva, and prays with devout faith, repeating after me: Emaho! Glorious Lama Vajradhara, appearing as the body of the great powerful Hayagriva, for us fortunate ones who practice the Dharma, in order to protect the Dharma, we request the permission of the oath-bound protector! Recite three times. When practicing this deity alone, it is good to add refuge, bodhicitta, or daily confession, etc. Therefore, you must generate the clarity of fierce power and firm pride, and meditate.
