Arrogant Eight Classes of beings with your retinues, in order to protect the Buddha's teachings and to accomplish the purposes of the mantra-holder, please be seated firmly and joyfully without distraction upon your respective appropriate seats. Samaya tiṣṭha lhan. Taking the Vow: Place the vajra or its mudra on the heads of the Eight Classes. Visualize pouring amrita on the tongue, then sprinkle it on the torma. HŪṂ! I am Mañjuśrī Yamāntaka, the gods and demons of the Eight Classes are my subjects. All of them arise from me, the life force of the arrogant ones is in my hands. Remember the vows you made in the past before the glorious Great Lord (Śrī Mahākāla). Place the vajra of the vow on your head, give the amrita of the vow to your mouth. Do not transgress the vow, or your body and mind will be reduced to dust, and you will die in the vajra hell. Therefore, protect the vow and accomplish the activities. To please the father lineage, offering strong intoxicating alcohol, to please the mother lineage, offering great red blood, to please the nāgas, offering white sugar honey, etc. Offer each their respective appropriate offerings, please enjoy. For you, the mighty arrogant ones, Any transgressions in body, speech, and mind, Incomplete samaya substances and harmonious substances, And errors, shyness, hesitation, etc. In short, all that contradicts your will, Today, I confess with a remorseful heart. Please purify and accomplish the activities! (Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra) Praise: EH! In the past, due to karma and intense hatred, Wrongly made perverse aspirations, Therefore, now body, speech, and mind, The fire of the five poisons blazes, arrogance and wrath are extremely strong. Large in form, terrifying, ugly, and wandering as desired. The breath and urine also spread diseases. Uttering evil mantras from the mouth, snatching the lives of others. Holding poison and various weapons in hand. Wearing solid armor, riding swift mounts. The body's hairs are born as weapons. The arrogant Eight Classes who destroy the world, Delighting in flesh and blood, striving in the work of killing. Living longer than others, displaying various emanations. Possessing power, strength, might, and numerous miracles. I praise you and your retinue, the arrogant assembly! (When not performing wrathful activities, offer the torma, mixing medicine and alcohol on the torma, and lighting a fire.) HO! Arrogant consorts, siblings, parents, children, emanated retinues, And your retinues, lords of the empty realm! Please accept this torma that is in accordance with your will, Pacify the diseases, evil spirits, and obstacles of the mantra holder, me, And all unfavorable circumstances, Increase life, merit, and wealth, With devotion, subdue the three realms and the three existences. Wrathfully liberate the outer and inner enemies and obstructors who harm the Dharma.
