The Great Treasure of Dudjom, TD1157: 'A Concise Method for Accomplishing the Nectar Medicine, Called the Essence of Immortality and Permanence'. To transform all phenomena and existence into the essence of nectar, And to guide sentient beings, Therefore, practice this essence of immortality and permanence. This has three parts: preparation, main practice, and conclusion. The first, preparation, has four parts: where to practice, when to practice, gathering and mixing the medicines, and how to arrange the implements. The first three should be understood according to the instructions and the practice of the lineage masters. Fourth, on the altar, in the center of the mandala, place a skull cup on a cushion, filled with nectar dharma medicine, with the forehead facing oneself. If there is not enough medicine, first fill it with fruit, and then place a dharma medicine bundle on top. Seal it with a red silk cloth, tie it with five-colored threads in a cross, and attach a protective knot. Finally, gather all necessary inner and outer offerings and tsok implements. Second, the main practice has two methods: the full bottle practice and the single medicine practice. Here, we will explain according to the latter. Following the activity practice of one's own yidam, generate the self and visualize that the substances to be accomplished are inseparable from oneself. Abiding in the mandala of one's own nature, focus on the substances to be accomplished in front of you.
