The catalogue of the activity manual of Yuthog Nyingthig TD1106, entitled 'A Pool of Nectar'. Yuthog Nyingthig. Activity Manual. Homage to the Guru Guṇanātha. The master of the ten powers, the light of Vaiḍūrya, the physician who heals all diseases of cause and effect, who took the form of an accomplished one in the land of snows, to Yuthog, the protector of beings, I pay homage. Among the outer, inner, and secret methods of accomplishment, this outer activity manual is the source of siddhis. For ease of carrying, the combined, supplementary, collected, and clear methods are written with the permission of the all-pervading lama. Here, the practitioner who has received the empowerment into the mandala of the king of medicines, the embodiment of all lineages, and who abides by the common and special samayas, to integrate this activity, which is superior to other profound paths, into practice, there are two aspects: establishing the support for practice; and performing the recitation and meditation of the activity. First, in a pleasant and blessed place such as a medicinal forest, if possible, in a clean and adorned practice room, arrange blessed supports for body, speech, and mind. In front, on a table, arrange a painted mandala that corresponds to the realization, or on a maṇḍala, arrange five piles of flowers, and on top of that, in a beautiful container elevated by a stand, place a torma of blazing jewels (Tibetan: གཏོར་མ་རིན་ཆེན་འབར་བ་), adorned with lotus petals and four mudrās, and if possible, an image of Arura (Tibetan: ཨ་རུ་ར་,Sanskrit Devanagari: हरीतकी,Sanskrit Romanization: harītakī,Literal meaning: Haritaki) and other decorations as supports for body, speech, and mind. Arrange tsaklis (Tibetan: ཙཀླི་), mantra boards, a mirror, and a blue silk umbrella. In front, arrange offerings and tormas. On the right and left, place skull cups filled with medicinal alcohol. Arrange two water offerings and a complete set of offerings. Arrange these around the practice area. In the back, if you wish to elaborate, arrange a complete set of old-style kongtormas. If you wish to simplify, you can omit them. In any case, to the right of that, in an iron or bandha (Tibetan: བནྡྷ) container, offer a red triangular torma to the nine classes of oath-bound protectors, with nine deities as the main figures, or simplify it to one red torma surrounded by eight mudrās, adorned with flesh and blood. To the left, offer a white, round, four-petaled torma to the common assembly of ḍranga-srongs (仙人), gods, and physicians, surrounded by pills, and adorned with various medicines and silks. When not practicing, such as during ordinary offerings, place the torma of blazing jewels on the right. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the left, place offerings, sensual pleasures, and a Torma (ritual cake) for the Dharma protectors. It's sufficient to have just these; if a Mandala (cosmic diagram), representations of body, speech, and mind, and offering Tormas in front are not complete, it's okay. Whether elaborate or concise, one should prepare the preliminary white Torma, food, Tsok (feast) implements, the Chad Tho (record of transgressions) permanent Torma, Tormas offered to the Dharma protectors, and items needed such as flowers, incense, and music. Secondly, the actual activities are divided into three parts: preliminaries, main practice, and concluding procedures. The first part is: lineage supplication, outer offering, command and boundary, refuge, Bodhicitta (awakening mind), accumulation, confession, blessings, and blessing the offering substances. These are the preliminary procedures. That is, initially, according to the general tradition of the Nyingma school, perform an extensive lineage supplication as composed by Zurkharwa Mnyamnyid Dorje, or if abbreviated, recite: 'The Medicine Buddha who cures the diseases of the three poisons, the chief of the wisdom Dakinis, glorious Palden Threng, the one refuge for beings in the snowy lands, Yuthokpa, Yeshe Zung and glorious Zhonnu's feet, Sangye Rinchen, Ratna Vajra, Dondrup Gyaltsen, Drangti Konchok Kyab, glorious Tsoje, Zulphu Menmo Che, Sonam Wangpo, the incomparable great yogi, Ritro Shigpo, Zurkhar Chokyi Je, Konchok Palzang, whose name is Jampa, Gonpo Palwa, Donlek Dondrup's name, Gampo Chowing, Drikung Chokyi Drak, Konchok Lhundrup, Konchok Trinle Zang, Tenzin Dro Dul, Konchok Chogya Tso, Dondrup Chokyal, Tenpai Nyinmor Je, Karma Chokga, Osal Gyurwa Me.' Or, after 'Zurkhar Chokyi Je,' add: 'Konchok Palzang, Namkhai Palden Zhap, Dudjom Dorje, Trashi Tobkyi Gyal, Ngagi Wangpo, Choying Rangsar Drol, Dorje Tokme, Jetsun Terdak Ling, Rinchen Namgyal, Chonyi Rangdrol, Padma Shenyen, Ngawang Kuntu Zang, Padma Dudul, Yeshe Chokdrub Zhap, Losal Tenkyong, Lekdrub Khyentse Wang.' In any case, finally recite: 'To the root and lineage Lamas and the protectors of beings, I supplicate with reverence, please bless me. May you ripen my being with empowerment, purify my vows, and perfect the outer, inner, and secret practices. May the blessings of the Lama swiftly enter my being, may I become equal to Yuthokpa, may the upper gate be liberation, may the lower gate be the attainment of means, may the channels, winds, and drops ripen into deities, mantras, and Dharmakaya (the body of truth), may the disturbances of the elements.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
