Oṃ baṃ hūṃ. Merge into non-duality. Padma kamalaya stvaṃ. In the delightful pure land. Peacefully abide on the lotus seat, and with a virtuous mind, remain. Please fulfill our wishes! Thus, visualize those with malicious and harmful intentions, and the Nāgas who appear and abide, surrounded by light, with nowhere to go until they receive the offering. Then: Mahānāga adhipataye gṛhṇīdaṃ arghaṃ svāhā. Similarly, offer with sound. Recite Sambhāra and the four names, and make the Varada Mudra. The right hand makes the Varada Mudra, palm down. From the letter A arises the moon, upon which is the white letter Hrīḥ. From it descends a stream of nectar, filling the vessel and overflowing. Nāgas, earth spirits, etc., drink, some bathe and frolic. Bodies are refreshed, filled with joy, feel satisfied, and attain a divine body. Oṃ Vasuki maṃ svāhā. Recite the hundred-syllable mantra etc., while pouring water. Oṃ hili hili mahā hili phruṃ phu svāhā. Three times. Oṃ bhakṣaya bhakṣaya samaya tiṣṭha phruṃ phu svāhā. Seven times. Oṃ nāgarāja saparivāra ā kāro, add the suffix, and recite seven times. If desired, add ā kāro after each name's mantra, then offer the torma. With the light of the wish-fulfilling jewel blazing on the Nāga king's head, completely destroy the darkness of the underground gatherings. Extremely delighted with the Dharma, possessing inconceivable power. I prostrate to the Nāga king and his retinue. Starting from 'Oṃ Nāga king, boundless, son of wealth increase,' up to 'great Tsi Li etc.,' recite as before, and finally say: Nāgas and their retinue, please enjoy the torma! This beautiful white torma is the sweetness of the three tastes and the ocean of milk. Having a staircase of precious jewels, protecting from the harm of the Nāgas. May it become a harmonious substance! May I and the patron and our retinue be free from the harm caused by the Nāgas: The poison of sight, the poison of touch, the poison of evil thoughts, the poison of disease, the poison of breath, and all these poisons. May they be pacified in an instant! Do not take away items more precious than me, do not harm me. May the thought of harm be pacified, and look upon me with the mind of a parent. At the end, recite: 'All phenomena arise from causes' (ye dharmā hetuprabhavā) and 'Do no evil, practice perfect virtue, subdue your mind, this is the teaching of the Buddha.' Recite: 'Troṭani Troṭani, Trāsani Trāsani, Pratihana Pratihana, Sarva Karma Paramparaṇi Me Sarva Satvanāñca Svāhā.' Recite as much as possible. Pray: All earth gods, nāgas, and evil spirits, may your physical illnesses be healed! May your inner sufferings be pacified! Limbs and subtle limb injuries, may all damaged bodies be restored! May the sand and stones falling from the sky, and the terror of naked, bloody infants, may these disasters be pacified! For those afflicted by painful diseases, may this become the best medicine! For those who are frightened and terrified, may this become the best protector! For those tormented by poverty and hardship, may this become the wealth that fulfills all wishes! For those tormented by hunger and thirst, may this become the best food and drink! When encountering bad roads while traveling, may this become the best guide! For those shrouded in the darkness of ignorance, may this become the best light! For those seized by the messengers of Yama, may this become the best elixir of immortality! In short, for whatever is needed, may the needed things arise continuously!' Furthermore, 'Nāgas, evil spirits, earth gods, all of you, destroying your dwellings and palaces, digging up earth gods and shaking stone gods, cutting down tree gods and splitting rock gods, digging up meadows and filling in springs, killing fish and frogs and destroying anthills, cutting off limbs and piercing horns and hooves, touching impure substances, etc., due to the faults of offenses, causing you to suffer illnesses and pain, may the ocean of torma offerings, with the nectar of miraculous medicine, heal you! All of you of the nāga race, may your minds and consciousness be clear! Without transgressing the Buddha's teachings and vows, may extreme anger be pacified! In the realm of the senses, may all the enjoyments you need, and the damaged body be restored and grow, may all limbs be at ease! Liberated from the three lower realms, may you be accompanied by the bliss of Brahma! Subduing the senses that practice Dharma, may you behold the face of Vajrapāṇi!' After reciting such prayers, visualize the circle of light as emptiness and purify it, then recite again: 'Through the blessings of mantras and medicines, abandon all illnesses and harms, remember kindness and vows, and return to your respective abodes!' Recite: 'Oṃ Nāga Saparivāra Gaccha.' With this, send away the white side of the deities. Bind with the Garuda seal, for all the malicious nāgas that originate from the world but do not obey the teachings and vows, return to your respective abodes!
