Then, 'ཆད་མདོ' (chadmdo) refers to the act of 'offering residual food'. བྷྱོ༔ (Bhyo, an exclamation, without actual meaning) In the first kalpa (梵文，kalpa，Sanskrit, unit of time) of the past, in the palace of 'འོག་མིན་ཆོས་ཀྱི་དབྱིངས་ཀྱི་ཕོ་བྲང་' (Ogmin Chokyi Yingkyi Phodrang, Akaniṣṭha Dharmadhātu Palace), when the great Padma Gar Gyi Wangchuk (པདྨ་གར་གྱི་དབང་ཕྱུག, Glorious Lotus Dance Lord) placed the worldly mothers under oath, did the eight local mothers such as 'ཀེ་རཱི་' (Keri), the eight flesh-eating women of countries such as 'སིཾ་ཧ་ལ་' (Simhala), and the four gatekeepers such as 'རྟ་གདོང་' (Tadong), each showing their forms and taking vows, never cease to receive the food offerings of the command? Has the life of the yogi (རྣལ་འབྱོར, naljor) never ceased to be prolonged? Have the tasks entrusted never ceased to be completed? Have the vows promised in the past never been broken? Please accept this torma (食子) adorned with offerings, and accomplish the supreme activities entrusted! After that era passed, in the solitary place of Vajrasana (རྡོ་རྗེ་གདན, Dorje Den, Bodh Gaya) in India, when the great scholar Garab Dorje (དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེ) opened the mandala of Vajradhatu (རྡོ་རྗེ་དབྱིངས, Dorje Ying), did the thirty-two great dakinis (མཁའ་འགྲོ, Khandro), each showing their forms and taking vows, never cease to receive the food offerings of the command? Has the life of the yogi never ceased to be prolonged? Have the tasks entrusted never ceased to be completed? Have the vows promised in the past never been broken? Please accept this torma adorned with offerings, and accomplish the supreme activities entrusted! After that era and kalpa, the great scholar Namkhai Nyingpo (ནམ་མཁའི་སྙིང་པོ) in the solitary place of Lhodrak Kharchu Nyen (ལྷོ་བྲག་མཁར་ཆུ་གཉན), opened the mandala of Vajrakilaya (རྡོ་རྗེ་གཞོན་ནུ, Dorje Zhonnu), and when the meteoric iron kīla (གནམ་ལྕགས, Namchak) was driven into the rock, did the seven mothers, four sisters, and their retinues, each showing their forms and taking vows, never cease to receive the food offerings of the command? Has the life of the yogi never ceased to be prolonged? Have the tasks entrusted never ceased to be completed? Have the vows promised in the past never been broken? Please accept this torma adorned with offerings, and accomplish the supreme activities entrusted! After that era passed, in Paro Taktsang Senggei Yangphuk (སྤ་གྲོ་སྟག་ཚང་སེང་གེའི་ཡང་ཕུག), when the great scholar Langchen Palseng (རླངས་ཆེན་དཔལ་སེང་གི) opened the mandala of perfect enlightenment (ཡང་དག, Yangdak), did the twenty-eight great Īśvarīs (དབང་ཕྱུག, Wangchuk), each showing their forms and taking vows, never cease to receive the food offerings of the command? Has the life of the yogi never ceased to be prolonged? Have the tasks entrusted never ceased to be completed? Have the vows promised in the past never been broken? Please accept this torma adorned with offerings, and accomplish the supreme activities entrusted! After that era passed, when the great scholar Jnanakumara (ཛྙཱ་ན་ཀུ་མཱ་ར) opened the perfect mandala in the long cave of the cliff of Yarmolung (ཡར་མོ་ལུང), at the time of subduing the three types of Damtsi (དམ་སྲི), did the black-tongued she-wolf and her retinue, each showing their forms and taking vows, never cease to receive the food offerings of the command? Has the life of the yogi never ceased to be prolonged? Have the tasks entrusted never ceased to be completed? Have the vows promised in the past never been broken? Has the activity entrusted to the yogi never ceased to be accomplished? After that era passed, when the great scholar Padmasambhava (པདྨ་འབྱུང་གནས, Padma Jungne) explained the Garland of Instructions on View in Drakmar Samye Aryapaling (བྲག་དམར་བསམ་ཡས་ཨཪྻ་པ་གླིང), did the twelve Tenma (བརྟན་མ), who protect the land of Tibet, each show their forms? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
