Take refuge! With the aspiration to establish all sentient beings, who are like space, in the state of noble Avalokiteśvara, I will practice the generation and completion stage meditation and recitation. Generate such aspiration bodhicitta. By reciting each verse of the seven-branch offering, clearly understand its meaning and purify your mindstream. It is necessary to generate the four immeasurable minds of loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity, and enter into the practice of bodhicitta with them. The recitation parts of these are: Homage! I and space, etc. (Tibetan: ན་མོ༔ བདག་དང་མཁའ་མཉམ་སོགས) Read once. Thus, the abbreviated preliminary practice is completed. The main practice includes the deity meditation and recitation of the generation stage, and the yoga of emptiness of the completion stage. First, generate your own samaya being and bless the three places (body, speech, and mind). Invite the wisdom being to merge, the two being inseparable. Visualize that, like illusory desirable offerings, the goddesses emanated from yourself make offerings and praises to yourself. These need to be clearly visualized, that is, recite from 'All dharmas are without characteristics (Tibetan: ཆོས་རྣམས་མི་དམིགས་སོགས་ནས)' to 'Prostrate and praise (Tibetan: ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད)'. The generation stage thus generated requires clear images, pure thoughts, and a stable sense of pride, meditate until the clear appearance arises. The object of recitation is: Visualize the lotus in the heart, etc. The mantra to be recited is: Om Mani Padme Hum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ༔), this is the heart mantra of Avalokiteśvara, which is the most beneficial of all mantras. Recite one hundred, one thousand, ten thousand, one hundred thousand, one million times (Tibetan: བརྒྱ་སྟོང་ཁྲི་འབུམ་བྱེ་བ་བཟླ), as it is said, in order to achieve enlightenment, the number of mantra recitations is countless and immeasurable, so try to recite hundreds of millions of times, etc. As it is said: 'If the mind is distracted, even if you recite for countless eons, there will be no result.' Therefore, reciting without letting the mind wander will achieve the result. The benefits of recitation are: Guru Rinpoche (Sanskrit: Padmasambhava) said: 'The eighty-four thousand collections of teachings are all contained, the six-syllable mantra is this very nature, whoever recites it will surely obtain the supreme siddhi, afflictions are transformed into the five wisdoms, destroy sins and perfect all virtues, whoever hears this six-syllable mantra, once heard, will cut off the door to the lower realms, leading to the heavens and the place of liberation, whoever recites this six-syllable mantra, once recited, will attain the state of unsurpassed enlightenment.' Therefore, be diligent in this meditation and recitation, and make life meaningful. Second, the completion stage is: Nakedly observe your own awareness, without arising, ceasing, or abiding, its nature is emptiness. Clearly and distinctly, without clinging, without fabrication, without hope or fear. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As stated above, observe the mind of the yogi: initially unborn, in the middle un abiding, and ultimately unceasing. In the nature of clear light and emptiness inseparable, beyond thought, clearly see, abide in a state of non-grasping, and gain stability in uncontrived, relaxed, and carefree meditation. The subsequent actions are: ultimately, as described below, dissolve the environment and beings. In between, recite, visualize appearing as the deity, dissolve into light, and again arise from the primordial deity form, protecting the three places. Dedicate the merit of practice and recitation to the great Bodhi for the benefit of all beings. Daily conduct should also be like this: the essence is emptiness, the form is great compassion, with the inseparability of emptiness and compassion, diligently benefit beings. As it is said, do not separate from yoga, use the three doors to benefit others, and do not alternate. This will also ripen the deity, and then you can grasp the beginning of the path, gradually attain unsurpassed Bodhi. As the oral instructions say: 'Meditate on the great compassion that is the collection of all Buddhas, recite the six-syllable mantra (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ओँ मणि पद्मे हूँ,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Om Mani Padme Hum) that is the collection of all mantras, practice the ungrasping meditation that arises spontaneously, abide in the view of non-action, practice the immeasurable compassion of conduct, and with this, all the benefits of oneself and others will be accomplished. All those who abide now and appear in the future, who follow me, should practice this supreme deity, and will surely attain Buddhahood in one lifetime, and all the deeds of the Buddhas will be accomplished by this.' Please keep this unfailing Vajra speech firmly in mind. Therefore, through perfecting the stages of maturation and liberation, seal it by dedicating the merit to the great Bodhi, and through this door, accomplish the vast benefit of oneself and others. Recite 'By this merit' etc., and cause the gathered to disperse. The master said: 'Ja Hum Bam Hoh (Tibetan: ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བྃ་ཧོ,Sanskrit Devanagari: जः हुं बं होः,Sanskrit Romanization: jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ,Literal Chinese meaning: Ja Hum Bam Hoh), the vase deity dissolves into oneself.' Ultimately, the environment and beings dissolve into light, and after dissolving into oneself, also dissolve into the Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः,Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hrih) syllable in the heart, abide in the state of non-objectification. Again, from the Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः,Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hrih) syllable, appear Avalokiteshvara, complete with all ornaments and attire, the three places marked with Om Ah Hum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ओँ आः हूँ,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ āḥ hūṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Om Ah Hum), and act for the benefit of beings.' Accomplish this through the generation and dissolution of the self-generation deity, and the dedication of merit and auspicious prayers. Just as rivers flow towards the ocean, may all beings, good, bad, and middling, enter the city of peace through this profound path. This is also the blessing given by the emanation great treasure revealer in the form of instructions. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
