Then, block the left nostril with the index finger of the left hand and exhale through the right nostril. Visualize a blue Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:seed syllable) emanating from the tip of your nose, radiating light and dissolving into the nostrils of the deceased. All vowels, consonants, and the Hūṃ dissolve into the center of the heart, so that what I say can be heard. Hūṃ! (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:seed syllable) Exhale long breaths from both nostrils. The eight doors of the impure cycle of existence of the deceased are blocked by individual red Hrīḥ (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:seed syllable) syllables. Hrīḥ! Hrīḥ! Hrīḥ! Then, in a voice that is neither too loud nor too soft, say: 'Oh, deceased so-and-so.' If it is an official or a great person, use appropriate terms such as 'you'; if it is an ordinary person, call out their good name three times. You! You (choose according to the situation). The appearances of this life have faded, and the appearances of the next life have not yet arisen. Due to the power of karma, both good and bad, it is uncertain where you will go. Now is the time to enter the first stage of the bardo, the time to practice transference. As the father, the supreme Buddha, said: 'Death is not death, but a small awakening for the yogi.' And: 'In a single moment, differentiate; in a single moment, attain perfect enlightenment.' Now is that moment, so do not be distracted, listen carefully! Visualize your own body as Vajravarahi, the mother who gives birth to all Buddhas, with a complexion that is red with a purplish hue, one face, two arms, three eyes, teeth biting the lower lip, the right hand holding a vajra chopper pointing towards the sky, and the left hand holding a skull cup filled with nectar at the heart. The khatvanga, the essence of the father Heruka, is placed in the crook of the elbow. The right leg is bent, with the heel pressing against the bhaga, and the left leg is extended, standing on a lotus, sun, and corpse. Adorned with dry and wet skulls and bone ornaments, the outer part of the body is covered like a red tent. The inside is empty, like a hollow reed. In the center is the central channel, as thin as an arrow shaft, white on the outside to symbolize bliss, red on the inside to symbolize clarity, perfectly straight to symbolize the path to enlightenment, blocked at the lower end below the navel like the joint of a bamboo to seal the doors of the lower realms, and open at the crown of the head like the mouth of a copper horn to open the door to liberation. In the center of the navel, which possesses these four characteristics, on a red lotus and a moon seat the size of half a broad bean, visualize the essence of your own wind and consciousness, a white drop the size of a broad bean, trembling and about to rise. Visualize above your head, in the sky about a cubit away, on a thousand-petaled lotus and a moon seat, your root guru and the yidam Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Visualize the indivisible essence as Amitabha (Infinite Light Buddha), with a red-colored body. One face, two arms, holding a begging bowl filled with nectar in the meditation mudra. Adorned with excellent marks and signs. Wearing the three Dharma robes, seated in the vajra posture. All Buddha-fields are complete in the adornment of his body, and the light of his body pervades all Buddha-fields. Meditate that he is abiding there. And indeed, he is abiding there. When we pray and transfer consciousness, without doubt, transfer it to the heart of Amitabha. Press with a finger from the crown of the head, or slightly pull the hair, and recite: In the lotus of the secret supreme Vajrayogini, I pray to the all-pervading Lord Vajradhara, Praying with unbearable intense longing, Please bless me to master the profound path of Phowa. Illusory city, impermanent bubble-like body, From the impure abode of karma and afflictions, May the self-aware, clear light mind-essence Dharmakaya, Be transferred to the realm of Infinite Light. In the interval of the surging light of blessings, Root lamas, lineage lamas, assembly of accomplished ones, Praying with unbearable intense longing, Please bless me to master the profound path of Phowa. Illusory city, impermanent bubble-like body, From the impure abode of karma and afflictions, May the self-aware, clear light mind-essence Dharmakaya, Be transferred to the realm of Infinite Light. In the bathhouse of impartial compassion nectar, The dancer of emptiness-form Dharmakaya, Karmapa, Praying with unbearable intense longing, Please bless me to master the profound path of Phowa. Illusory city, impermanent bubble-like body, From the impure abode of karma and afflictions, May the self-aware, clear light mind-essence Dharmakaya, Be transferred to the realm of Infinite Light. In the snow mountains blazing with the light of asceticism, The five-faced Vajra Heruka of Khechara, Praying with unbearable intense longing, Please bless me to master the profound path of Phowa. Illusory city, impermanent bubble-like body, From the impure abode of karma and afflictions, May the self-aware, clear light mind-essence Dharmakaya, Be transferred to the realm of Infinite Light. In the boundless expanse of outer and inner mandalas, The yoginis of supreme bliss and union, Praying with unbearable intense longing, Please bless me to master the profound path of Phowa. Illusory city, impermanent bubble-like body, From the impure abode of karma and afflictions, May the self-aware, clear light mind-essence Dharmakaya, Be transferred to the realm of Infinite Light. In the charnel ground of decaying demon hordes, The Dharma protectors with wisdom fire and miraculous powers, Praying with unbearable intense longing, Please bless me to master the profound path of Phowa. Illusory city, impermanent bubble-like body, From the impure abode of karma and afflictions, May the self-aware, clear light mind-essence Dharmakaya, Be transferred to the realm of Infinite Light. In the asceticism of no transferrer and nothing to be transferred, The abiding place of the body is the inexpressible wisdom Mahamudra, Apart from that, there is no other Buddha, May the self-liberation Dakpo Kagyu be accomplished. Thus pray. Visualize the consciousness at the navel of the deceased, its essence being wind and mind, the bindu, rising upwards like a shooting star, dissolving into the heart of Amitabha. Then slowly recite seven times "ཧིཀ (藏文,梵文天城体:हिक्,梵文罗马拟音:hik,汉语字面意思: 呵)". At this time, chant and call out in the manner of the four sessions, and finally recite "ཧིཀ (藏文,梵文天城体:हिक्,梵文罗马拟音:hik,汉语字面意思: 呵)" and transfer the consciousness. Oh, deceased one! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
