The essence of the five elements gathers and dissolves into the begging bowl, the begging bowl is filled with the nectar of longevity, and then dissolves into oneself. Hūṃ! When the arrow banner is waved to the east, the essence of wind gathers, transforming into a green rainbow light shining. In its center is the wind goddess, one face, two arms, holding a green arrow banner, holding a vase, dancing gracefully. Green light shines, the dance is brisk. When the arrow banner is waved to the south, the essence of fire gathers, transforming into a red rainbow light shining. In its center is the fire goddess, one face, two arms, holding a red arrow banner, holding a vase, dancing gracefully. Red light shines, the dance is brisk. When the arrow banner is waved to the west, the essence of iron gathers, transforming into a white rainbow light shining. The Bhagavan (bcom ldan 'das, The Blessed One) in front dissolves into light and merges into oneself. One's own body, like a rainbow in the sky, appears as the body of the Bhagavan. Clarity and emptiness become united. Emaho! (e ma ho, wondrous!) Wondrous! Buddha Amitabha (sangs rgyas snang ba mtha' yas, Buddha, Infinite Light)! To the right is Lord Avalokiteśvara, the Great Compassionate One (jo bo thugs rje chen po, Lord, Great Compassion)! To the left are the bodhisattvas endowed with great power (sems dpa' mthu chen thob rnams, Courageous One, Possessing Great Power)! Surrounded by immeasurable Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Inconceivable bliss and joy! In that pure land called Sukhavati (bde ba can, Possessing Bliss)! May I, immediately after passing away from here! Without interruption by other rebirths! Be born there and see the face of Amitabha! This aspiration that I have made! May all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions! Unobstructed, accomplish it, and bless it! Tadyatha (ཏདྱ་ཐཱ།, tadyathā, Thus): pañcendriya ava bodhanāya svāhā (པཉྩནྡྲི་ཡ་ཨ་ཝ་བོ་དྷ་ནཱ་ཡ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།, pañcendriya ava bodhanāya svāhā, five faculties, awakening, for, svāhā)! This practice of Sukhavati was composed by the treasure minister Ra ga A sya. To fulfill the intention of the treasure revealer, it was collected and arranged from the texts of the Sky Dharma. The attendant Kunda wrote it down. If there are any mistakes, I confess to the gods. May this virtue and all beings connected to it be reborn in Sukhavati. Mangalam (མངྒ་ལཾ།, maṅgalaṃ, auspicious)! After reciting the aspiration prayers, etc., join your palms. Om (ཨོཾ།, oṃ, Om)! May it be accomplished! The vajra body is free from birth and death! The voice of Brahma is unborn and eternal, the vajra voice! The mind free from elaboration is unchanging in the three times, the vajra mind! Perfectly endowed with the immortal body, speech, and mind! Like the king of thunder, the guide Amitabha! May the qualities and activities of body, speech, and mind be accomplished! May we complete our lives and practice! And engage in vast benefit for beings! Recite this three times, this is the vajra word. After that, ask for forgiveness, recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra, etc., and then the ritual.
