This easily portable item is also from the central region of Tibet. In the garden of the Lotus Jewel Peak, during the white phase of the full moon, it was written by a Vidyadhara (holder of knowledge). The extremely profound oral instruction of Nāgarakṣa (Dragon Protector) is present. Om Svasti (May there be well-being). To the immaculate lotus feet of the Guru and Mañjuvajra (Mañjuśrī Vajra), inseparable, I prostrate and take refuge at all times and in all ways. Here, the uncommon recitation instructions of Mañjuśrī Nāgarakṣa, the oral transmission, are recorded in writing. Sealed with the four mudras: the wisdom mudra applied to the deity, the samaya mudra applied to oneself, the karma mudra applied to the nagas, and the naga mudra applied to the enemy. These are the four. Among these, first, the wisdom mudra applied to the deity: Without performing the generation stage, if one can accomplish about a million recitations of the four-syllable mantra from the state of naturalness, it is excellent. At the very least, one should recite 100,000 times. Second, the samaya mudra applied to oneself: The generation stage is clear, and one visualizes the wisdom being as a golden garuda. In its heart, within the eight-petaled lotus, there is a five-pronged vajra half-exposed, with the black letter PHE at the center. The four-syllable mantra is arranged around it. If one can write the uncommon life-force mantra of the nagas on the eight petals, then write it. Reciting millions or hundreds of thousands of mantras, one feels that all the eight classes are under one's command. The soles of the feet tingle, and the body feels hot. If it exceeds this, then the sign of the samaya mudra actually taking effect will appear. Third, the karma mudra applied to the nagas: One visualizes oneself as Mañjuśrī, with the right leg bent and the left leg extended, beneath which is a large turtle. All the harmful nagas are absorbed into it, and the naga poisons from one's own body are also absorbed into it. Fourth, the naga mudra applied to the enemy: This (turtle) is absorbed into one's own enemy. The important key of the uncommon instruction lies in the three: up, down, and pull. First, diligently reciting the mantra for seven days is 'up'. Then, for seven days, reciting the mantra a little less is 'down'. Then, for seven days, not reciting the mantra at all, but visualizing Vajrasattva on the crown of both oneself and the nagas and demons, reciting the hundred-syllable mantra, and striving to purify all illnesses, demons, and obscurations is 'pull'. It is extremely important to strive in this way. Through this method, when performing a naga curse, the crown of the naga king's lineage is Norbu Wangyal (Lord of Jewels), if on the right shoulder of the Jew lineage is a blazing jewel, if on the right breast of the Brahmin --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The vase filled with bathwater, and making offerings in the blessed places of common people and the secret places of outcasts, even if entrusting the Nagas to these, it will not harm the enemy but rather become better, therefore it should be avoided. These were all spoken by the great Vidyadhara Dorje Tsewang Norbu, and recorded by Ngawang Chökyi Gyatso. Mangalam! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
