The very essence. With intense devotion and longing, thinking that the mandala is the complete glory of all, the actual Maha Guru Dorje Drolo Tsal, supplicate by repeating the following three times: 'Ema Lama Dorje Dzin (唉玛 喇嘛 多杰 坚，Ema, Lama Vajra Holder), the secret of the hearts of all Buddhas, the sacred life-force of the Sugatas, please grant me blessings!' Recite three times. Lama Rigdzin Dorje Drolo Tsal, definitely the great chief of the entirety of the Three Jewels and Three Roots. In order to take refuge until enlightenment for all beings pervading the sky, and in order to establish all sentient beings in the state of the Lama Buddha Dharmakaya, generate the supreme mind to enter the one definitive vehicle, and repeat the following: Hrih (ཧྲཱིཿ，hrīḥ，Hrih, Great Cause)! The assembly of Sugatas, etc., as above, three times. These extremely profound and secret blessings should not be given to unworthy vessels who do not have samaya, so listen carefully to this examination and question. Kye (ཀྱེ，kye，Kye, Hey!), fortunate son of lineage, listen to me! This supreme secret is extremely sacred, can you protect the indestructible vajra samaya? If you promise so, I will bestow the supreme empowerment. Thinking to protect the sacred vajra samaya properly, repeat the following: Samaya Idam Nara Kana (ས་མ་ཡ་ཨི་དན་ན་ར་ཀན，samaya idaṃ nara kana，Samaya, This is human ear).' Place the vajra on the head. Bestow the nectar samaya water. Then, in order to establish the basis of blessings, the wisdom being is invoked, so restrain the key points of your three doors. Without straying elsewhere, meditate single-pointedly on this visualization. First, 'All dharmas are without object,' etc., up to 'Turn samsara upside down,' recite slowly as before. Thus, visualize yourself as Pema Thotreng Dorje Drolo Tsal, in the heart on a moon disc, the syllable 'Yam' is blue-green, the nature of wind; above it is a red swastika, marked on the four limbs with 'Hari Nisa'; in the center of the swastika is a red 'Hum'; from 'Yam' comes wind, the swastika turns to the right, and rays of light emanate from the five syllables; from Rakshasa land, invite countless wisdom beings, and contemplate them dissolving into you, generating intense devotion and longing from the depths of your heart and bones. Bless the substances of blessing. Together with the sound of the damaru and bell: Hum Hum Hum (ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ，hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ，Hum Hum Hum, seed syllable)! Jetsun Chenpo Pema Thotreng Tsal, precious refuge for all beings! Especially look with compassion upon the sentient beings of Tibet! Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ! Mahaguru Rinpoche! With compassion, free from bias and indifference, What need is there for another emanation? Our bodies suffer, tears streaming down, Do you hear our cries of supplication? Our minds single-pointedly remember your virtues, Look upon us with the compassion of a father, Precious One! Bless your children, O Embodiment of Emanation! Pour bliss into our bodies, Assembly of Dakinis! Grant power to our speech, Yidam Deities! Infuse realization into our minds, Guru Rinpoche! Bestow great blessings upon the assembled devotees here! Grant the blessing of the immutable Vajra Body! Grant the blessing of the Brahma-voice of Vajra Speech! Grant the blessing of the unerring Vajra Mind! Grant the blessing of virtues beyond compare! Grant the blessing of the fourfold activities that tame beings! Grant the blessing of supreme and common accomplishments! With bodies in dance, voices intoning 'Hūṃ', and minds of devotion, focused in prayer, if you supplicate for blessings in this way, Guru Rinpoche himself will come from Ngayab Ling and promise to bestow blessings. Thus, having bestowed blessings, he introduces the nature of wisdom: O son/daughter of noble family, although from the very beginning you have had this self-aware Padmatötrengtsal (པདྨ་ཐོད་ཕྲེང་རྩལ།), you have not recognized it. Now, through the compassion of Guru Padma and the coming together of such auspicious circumstances, That which you did not recognize before, you now recognize! Yé ré! Sa lé! Wa lé! Lam mé! The essence is nothing whatsoever, The appearance is unobstructed by anything, Recognize this as the blessing of the empowerment! Do not think of it as anything else! Do not scatter! Do not gather! Leave it in its own place! This is the unmade, self-arisen wisdom! Without moving from this, You will not be stained by the faults of samsara, therefore you are Padmasambhava. Abiding as the essence of all qualities, therefore you are Padmasambhava. Illuminating all that is to be known, therefore you are Lodrö Chokse. Being the nature of all three realms, therefore you are Pema Gyalpo. Dispelling all darkness of unknowing, therefore you are Nyima Özer. Not being overcome by all four maras, therefore you are Shakya Sengé. Not falling into the partiality of good or bad views, therefore you are Sengé Dradok. Subduing all obstacles and wrongdoers, therefore you are Dorjé Drolö. Son/daughter of noble family, in this way, the eight manifestations of the emanation Guru are also this self-aware wisdom, Padmatötrengtsal. Thus, the realization that the primordial Dharmakaya and Sambhogakaya are inseparable, the self-born, self-arisen original heruka Tötrengtsal in person, Visualizing the root guru, the combined essence of the three roots, Dorjé Drolö Padmatötrengtsal, including the torma and the image, above your crown, The nature of all phenomena of appearance and existence as the deity's body and mudra. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
