Invocation: Hūṃ! In the land of Uḍyāna, On the lotus stamen, Accomplishing wondrous excellence, Padmasambhava, Surrounded by Ḍākinīs, I follow in your footsteps, Please descend to bestow blessings! Oṃ āḥ hūṃ vajra guru padma hrīḥ karma guru hūṃ! Abhiṣiñca oṃ!’ Recite and place the Torma on the crown of the head. If one feels the hair on their body stand on end, it indicates that one has received the empowerment of body, capable of subduing beings through the body. Furthermore, visualize the Torma as the actual form of the Karma Guru, generate fervent devotion, and upon praying, visualize that one has received the empowerment of speech and all blessings and accomplishments. Hūṃ! In the first aeon of the past, In the island of Dhanakośa Lake, On the lotus stamen, The immaculate Lotus King was born, Known as the Great Padmasambhava. A cloud of Ḍākinīs gathered as retinue, To subdue the wicked and malevolent, The Holy One, Siṃhanāda, descended. Revered Padmasambhava, please descend! As I practice following you, Please descend to bestow blessings! Pacify obstacles and wrong views, Grant supreme and common accomplishments! Oṃ āḥ hūṃ vajra guru padma totradrengtsal karma siddhi hūṃ ā! Abhiṣiñca ā!’ Recite and place the Torma on the throat. If one desires eloquence, it indicates that one has received the empowerment of speech, capable of subduing beings through speech. Furthermore, visualize the Torma as the actual form of the Karma Guru, generate fervent devotion, and upon praying, visualize that one has received the empowerment of mind and all blessings and accomplishments. Hrīḥ! Revered Padmatotradrengtsal, For the sake of accomplishing boundless activities, Guru Siṃhanāda, For the sake of cutting off wicked and malevolent ones, Ema (amazing) revered one, how wondrous! On the right, a throng of male lineages, Methods to subdue the demons, On the left, a throng of female lineages, The lamp of wisdom shines! In front, heroes clad in armor, Crushing the hostile demon armies to ashes! Again, dancing with a 'cha cha' sound, Behind, Dharma protectors gather like clouds, Destroying the demon hordes of the Buddha's teachings! Again, dancing with a 'shik shik' sound! The great hero sings the Hūṃ song, The sound of the Phaṭ syllable is clear and resounding! Subduing and guiding beings, Overpowering gods, demons, and the eight classes, Pacifying all demons and obstacles! Accomplish the activities for the benefit of beings! Hrīṃ hrīṃ hrīṃ karma guru sarva siddhi hūṃ! All demons and wrong views sarva śātrūṃ māraya phaṭ! Abhiṣiñca hūṃ!’ Recite and place it on the heart.
