The Three Roots (Tsa-ba gsum): The Guru (Guru) appears in the form of Padmasambhava, like dust motes in sunlight. Visualize merging with the Guru, inseparable, and pray for blessings. Invoke with the Seven-Line Prayer and subsequent supplications. Combine the sounds of the hand drum (Chang-te'u) and bell (Dril-bu) with a plaintive song. Place a flower on the head, making it stable. Through the infusion of wisdom, transform into the body of a Dakini (Kha'dro). The place transforms and appears as the pure land of Padmasambhava. From the heart of the Guru, rays of light emanate, Inviting the deities who fill the sky. Visualize pouring the nectar from the vase, Bestowing the Vajra empowerment. Hrih! Like the powerful Vajra, Empowering the Bodhisattvas. May the waters of blessing wash away delusions and obstacles. May the wisdom of the four empowerments be perfected! Add the empowerment mantra to the end of each mantra: Om! Drink the nectar from the vase. The vase water fills the body, purifying delusions and obstacles. May the five aggregates (Phung-khams) mature into a pure mandala (Khorlo). Emanating from the Guru's forehead chakra, Visualize merging into the disciple's forehead. Place the symbolic body image on the crown of the head. Om! Of Guru Che-ge, The Jnana-mudra, the empowerment of the body, Merges into the crown of the head, purifying the obscurations of the body.
