The cutting of faults, the way of practicing the true state, and the way of traversing the paths, etc., are extensively explained in the guiding texts of the Great Seal Treasury. Cutting faults means clinging to the experience of bliss, and if one clings to it, one falls into the desire realm. If one clings to clarity and grasps it, one falls into the form realm. Therefore, whatever arises—bliss, emptiness, clarity, non-thought—do not cling to it, do not grasp it, but let it rest in its natural state, beyond mind, free from elaboration. At that time, in the immediacy of co-emergent wisdom, naked awareness is beyond mind, in primordial purity (藏文:ཀ་དག,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:ka dag,汉语字面意思:primordial purity), abiding in the inexpressible state. In the post-meditation state, whatever arises, rest in awareness without grasping, in naked awareness, without identifying with whatever appears. Whatever arises, everything appears as clear emptiness without grasping, which is called the yoga of conceptualization. The text says: Then, for the yogi who is free from faults, the way of traversing the five paths is as follows: Because the realization of the true state has manifested, compassion arises for those who have not realized it, like an illusion, and with faith in cause and effect, warmth is gained in samadhi, which is called the path of accumulation. The text says: Having practiced in this way, knowing that the mind is without object, free from extremes, beyond mind, and seeing its essence, that is also called the path of joining. The text says: Then, appearance and existence, the three realms, are clear in objectlessness. The obscurations of afflictions are purified, and whatever arises appears as self-appearance emptiness, like water and waves, wind moving in the sky, whatever arises is liberated in non-grasping, beyond mind, realizing that cause and effect are empty, which is called the path of seeing. The text says: Then, appearance and mind are mixed, the appearance of objects is inseparable from one's own mind, one's own mind is manifested, emptiness appears as cause and effect, and all interdependent phenomena become one taste, the interdependence is manifested. Then, by placing in equanimity, one is separated from objects, and all interdependent phenomena are liberated in one's own mind emptiness, like images appearing in a mirror, in non-duality. In the post-meditation state, the appearance of objects is subtle like an illusion, which is the path of meditation. The text says: Then, by generating diligence, maintaining continuity, and practicing, one realizes that samsara and nirvana, birth and death, are non-dual, and the extremes of expression are exhausted. Without anything to meditate on or meditate with, one's own mind is manifested, thereby purifying the obscurations of knowledge. All phenomena appear in one's own mind, and the first moment of awareness is manifested, which is called the path of completion. The text says: Thus practicing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If, due to distraction, one deviates from the aforementioned views, one should gather oneself. If dull or lethargic, one should uplift oneself. If scattered or attached, one should extract awareness from it. If later, a confused error arises, or one is bound by clinging to those aforementioned views, or mental afflictions arise, and one does not want to look but desires to abandon, etc., when obstacles arise, recite 'ཕཊཿ' (Tibetan, Phat, Phat, Cutting), and then look at the natural face of reality, blending space and awareness. Thus, whenever obstacles arise, recite 'ཕཊཿ', and practice as before. Also, when anything arises, extract awareness from it and leave it utterly bare and without grasping in a decisive manner. A capable student, who has little attachment to the appearances of this life, who recognizes the lama as a buddha, who is diligent and possesses wisdom, who has good karmic connections from the past and therefore has faith in the view of Great Perfection Trekchö, who can contain emptiness in their mind, who is broad-minded and has a stable foundation, To these individuals, the Great Perfection, the basis of Trekchö, primordial purity, and the Great Seal are forcefully introduced. This is also called the root of all empowerments, the empowerment of the power of awareness. It is also called the lama bestowing the empowerment of transferring blessings into the student's mindstream. The way to introduce it is: in a secluded, uninhabited, and delightful place, or a sacred place blessed by the previous buddhas, or a high place blessed by the lama, clear and with pure appearances, not affected by hail or blizzards, where one can see a vast sky. At a time when the sky is clear and free of clouds, both the lama and the student, in a state of possessing the seven dharmas, direct their gaze towards the sky. As the lama recites 'ཕཊཿ', the student also recites 'ཕཊཿ' together, and in the moment of whatever arises, blend awareness with the space of the sky and rest in it. Immediately, one recognizes that which cannot be expressed, the primordial purity beyond the mind. Having recognized it, whatever thoughts arise, one should maintain that state without distraction, reciting 'ཕཊཿ', blending space and awareness, and practicing as before. Thus, when strong conditions such as the thoughts of the five poisons arise, recite 'ཕཊཿ', rest in the natural state, and practice it. Initially, if it is wavering and difficult to maintain, one should generate diligence, exert awareness forcefully, recite 'ཕཊཿ', and eliminate it by blending space and awareness. Then, all that arises will appear in the expanse of self-awareness, and there, without grasping, one rests in the primordial purity beyond the mind. Then, without effort, all that arises will appear as the play of the Great Seal beyond the mind, and without day or night, one should continuously be in a state of meditation, tirelessly generating diligence and practicing it. Having practiced in this way as before, no condition can destroy it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
