I am non-dual with you. Lord of all the boundless mandalas, your fame pervades all three realms. I pray to you, the embodiment of all Yidams, all the gods, kings, nagas, and others bow at your feet. A moment's remembrance brings wealth and fame, merely holding your name dispels all obstacles. I pray to the Lama who is the embodiment of all Dharma Protectors, Skilled, all-knowing, the God of Gods, the embodiment of the eight powers manifesting the nature of reality. You are renowned as the chief of all excellent assemblies, I pray to the chief who embodies the Three Jewels. Those who have come to this sacred land and direction, many accomplished ones have attained blessings and prophecies. Since your mind and the supreme Lama are inseparable, I prostrate to you who see the suchness of reality. You have completely abandoned all faults of body, speech, and mind, and having realized the supreme, unchanging state, You possess countless pure mandalas, I prostrate to you who have realized union. The lord of countless heroes and dakinis, you have repeatedly been empowered as the chief of the assembly. You accomplish the benefit of others through the supreme conduct of wisdom. I respectfully worship the feet of Avadhuti. You are the emanation of all refuges, and all refuges are also your emanation. From my heart, I pray that there is no other refuge, please, supreme refuge, protect us. May all illnesses, evil influences, harms, and disharmony be pacified, may all aspects of the sacred Dharma and virtue increase, May we single-pointedly practice and enjoy the experience, may the glorious Lama bestow blessings. May we and all beings, at all times, never be separated from the Lama, the Lord, May we uphold your teachings and please you, and may we extensively accomplish your activities. This prayer to the root Lama, called 'Shower of Blessings,' was written by Tarānatha at the Dharma Palace of Drakto (place name) on the fifteenth day of the Fish constellation, urged by Jampa Paldrak, a Dharma brother who has long served the Lama. May virtue and auspiciousness increase! (The original text is an old book from Dranang Dechen, the last page, 751).
