A Prayer to the Root and Lineage Lamas, called "Clarifying the Remembrance of the Lama's Qualities." I prostrate to the Bhagavan Vajrasattva, inseparable from the Lama! All beings, including gods, bow with great reverence, and with their heads, they attend to your lotus feet. With the light of wisdom, in all three realms, at all times, you illuminate the wheel of directions. Free from duality, without sectarianism, your mindstream is nourished by unchanging bliss, and you know the nature of all that is stable and moving, samsara and nirvana. Vajra Master, possessing the ten powers, an ocean of qualities, Lord of the lineage, I prostrate with reverence and request your blessings! The indivisible great bliss body of the three vajras, the all-pervading, uninterrupted, perfectly spoken, indestructible speech, the unwavering, spontaneously accomplished, union of the two truths, vajra mind, I pray to the victorious Vajradhara. The immaculate bliss-generating mother of all the Buddhas, in the expanse of non-elaboration, a thousand rays of wisdom light arise, adorned with excellent marks and signs, possessing immeasurable mandalas, I pray to Vajrayogini. The actual voice-holder of all the Buddhas and their sons, the one who gathers all the tantras and sutras, the lord of the ten bhumis, the venerable secret lord, I pray to Vajrapani. 24-4 Because you were embraced by the gods of desire and the accomplished ones, you saw the meaning of the essential point and became the primordial protector.
