If, due to low-lying land, there is false exaggeration, there will be recitations that are inappropriate for the occasion. In order to prevent this, and in order not to allow doubt to arise about what is appropriate, it is written here in a definitive manner. Also, because it is desired to perform the consecration associated with this ritual, one should at least attain the status of a temporary small Vajra Master. Then, both the root text of the consecration ritual and this supplement should be thoroughly memorized, and one should be skilled in practice and understanding. The 'Increasing Benefit for Beings' is the expanded method that fully and accurately embodies the intention of the tantric text, therefore it has great blessings. For daily practice, that is sufficient, but for those who enjoy elaboration, a very extensive ritual is sometimes necessary, so do not be lazy like a calf piling things up, even for minor examples. For a very extensive ritual, this entire supplement should be performed. If only a slightly extensive ritual is performed, it is sufficient to do what is appropriate; it is not necessary to copy everything. For example, it would be good to supplement with auspicious verses, recollections, and bodhicitta generation from a vast city. Those things that are said in 'Increasing Benefit for Beings' should not be omitted even slightly, because it is done according to the method of an extensive ritual. From the many kinds of rituals, from the infinite necessary recitations, abandon irrelevant mad talk, etc., and only combine good content. This was said by Gyal Khampa Tāranātha in between.
