Collected Teachings of Dolonatha JT184: The Stages of the Vajrayana Path, Clearly Illuminating the Vajra of Space 10-448 ༄༅། ། The Stages of the Vajrayana Path, Clearly Illuminating the Vajra of Space ༄༅། ། The Stages of the Vajrayana Path, Clearly Illuminating the Vajra of Space ༄༅། ། Oṃ Svasti. Om, may there be well-being!). A brief explanation of the stages of the Vajrayana path. I praise and prostrate to the gurus! The self-nature, innate, immutable reality, First, I bow to the feet of the guru. Great bliss and the union of non-duality, I prostrate to the Perfection of Wisdom. The nature of the four bodies and five wisdoms, Also to the glorious Heruka. Having fixed the ten fingers on the crown of the head, I prostrate with the two truths. The clear light of all sentient beings, This is the ultimate truth of wisdom, The great emptiness is its own essence, Holding the patterns of space. Whose self-nature is pure, pervading all things, Like this space, without beginning or end. This seed of self-nature purity, the Buddha, Becomes equal in taste for all beings. Like combing hair, afflictions arise from conceptual thoughts, If one realizes there is none, then what bondage will not change here? Thatness of self-nature purity, endowed with qualities, Unthinkingly accomplishing all actions, this is inconceivable. In this, there is no distinction between samsara and nirvana, Therefore, all qualities are in this. Faultless dharmas are the nature of purity, Only this is known by the wise. This self-nature mind is called the cause, Like ocean waves, from it arises the wind of karma. From it arise the five lights and qualities, And from these arise winds such as the all-pervading. Finally, the karmic imprints are the dividers, Likewise, the consciousness, mind, and sense consciousnesses arise. From imprints, karmic winds, and qualities, Attachment and so on arise in me. From the function of imprints and consciousness, 10-449 Stirred by the wind, the definite understanding of appearance as grasper and grasped arises. With the essence of dust and darkness, the outer vessel The world, beings, and bodies are accomplished. Likewise, decaying, the Winds and so on of sentient beings are the nature of grasper and grasped. Here, whatever four conditions, imprints, and appearances, Whatever ceases, here, know it as it is. Thus, the self-nature is immutable, Like this reality of space, In the ground and the path, it is not two.
