English version (Combined) Hē lī (entering tone) (desiring love and respect) The mantra of the Northern Bodhisattva says: Oṃ vajra aḥ (desiring liberation and the pacification of disasters) The mantra of the Central Bodhisattva says: Oṃ vajra vaṃ (desiring the fulfillment of all wishes) The mudra is as described in the Yoga Sutra. The practitioner should first establish a corresponding mandala. Choose a place according to your preference, but it should be a quiet place, away from noise, filth, and impurity. Do not associate with young boys and girls, śrāmaṇeras who do not believe in the Dharma, or the poor and those with dirty clothes. Seek an auspicious courtyard for accomplishment, and be very careful. Prepare the offerings and place them on the plate for the principal deity. Increase the offerings according to the direction and fulfill the recitation of your vows. Recite the root mantra one million times during the three periods of day and night, and you will obtain great wisdom and the greatest happiness among people. If you wish to obtain all great freedoms, prepare offerings and perform homa according to the direction, and all your wishes will be fulfilled. The corresponding items for homa are as described in the chapter on the Siddhi of Virtues (but the secret techniques should be transmitted orally by the teacher, and should not be easily taught to junior disciples who have a disrespectful attitude towards the Dharma, so they are not recorded in detail here). If someone wants to obtain great wisdom, pray to the Southern Bodhisattva together with Vaiśravaṇa (毗沙门天), and they will surely obtain it. If someone wants to obtain great love and affection from the king, pray to the Western Bodhisattva together with Vaiśravaṇa (毗沙门天), and they will surely obtain it. If someone wants to obtain extreme love from the queen, palace women, and even noble women, pray to the aforementioned Bodhisattva together with the aforementioned deity, and they will surely obtain it. If someone wants to obtain love and affection from ministers and high officials, pray to the aforementioned Bodhisattva as with the aforementioned deity, and they will surely obtain it. If someone wants to quickly achieve the status of a wealthy elder with great fortune, pray to the Southern Bodhisattva together with the aforementioned deity, and they will surely obtain it. If someone wants to obtain a high official position and be respected and revered, pray to the Eastern Bodhisattva together with Indra (帝释天), and they will surely obtain it.
