Ultimately, he will not die a violent death and will not have nightmares. He will be victorious in all battles and disputes. These matters are accomplished simply by reciting. Silently recite it within the lips one hundred times, and Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva will appear before that person on that very day, fulfilling all his wishes. He will also see all Buddhas and Tathagatas, as well as Amitabha Buddha (Infinite Life Buddha) of the Western Paradise, the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and the assembly of Bodhisattvas, the palace of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva on Mount Potalaka (Potalaka). His body will be pure, he will be honored by nobles, and all will be delighted to see him. The coverings and entanglements of karmic obstacles will all be purified. If it is for the benefit and compassion of all sentient beings, to subdue and control them, to restrain evil people, to increase compassion, recitation will accomplish it. It can bring great benefit to sentient beings, and bring great peace and happiness to the wise. Goods and food will increase, and wealth, riches, and resources will be abundant, without lack. Appearance and strength will be nourished and vigorous. This mantra is secret and must not be spoken recklessly. If you truly wish to accomplish the supreme wish-fulfilling jewel (mani) [wish-fulfilling jewel] great mudra, recitation will accomplish it. Whether you have eaten or not, whether you are clean or unclean, constant recitation will have no fault. When reciting, you should remember Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, always as your refuge. Whether noble or lowly, whether male or female, Shramana (monk) [monk] or heretic (non-Buddhist) [non-Buddhist], call his name, focus your mind, and recite this mantra, it should be in the latter part of the night or at dawn. The noblest man should recite it one thousand and eight times, the noblest woman one thousand and ten times. The second noblest man should recite it eight hundred times, the second noblest woman seven hundred times. The third noblest woman should recite it six hundred times. English version Thirty times: Women should recite this mantra thirty times. One hundred and fifty times: Men should recite this mantra one hundred and fifty times. This recitation method ensures that everyone submits. It encompasses a hundred yojanas (Yojana, an ancient Indian unit of distance) with the speed of wind. Reciting it eight hundred times will cause the true form of Avalokiteśvara (观音) to appear before the reciter. All wishes will be granted. The mantras of all beings will be accomplished. Recite it ten thousand times. The true form of the Holy Vajrapani (执金刚) will appear before the mantra practitioner. Cherishing, nurturing, embracing, and supporting them like a beloved child. All mantras will be accomplished. Whatever is desired will be given and fulfilled. Reciting it thirteen thousand times will allow one to see all Buddhas and Tathagatas (如来). After reciting it for seven full days, the kings of mantra immortals. Will all appear in their true forms before the mantra practitioner. Each will impart the mantra they have accomplished. Concealing their forms, they will follow and protect the practitioner. All happiness will manifest. Within these seven days, each day. White sandalwood (白檀香, Santalum album). Turmeric (郁金香, Curcuma longa). Borneol (龙脑香, Dryobalanops aromatica). Musk (麝香, Moschus). Nutmeg (肉豆蔻, Myristica fragrans). Cardamom (白豆蔻, Amomum cardamomum). Clove (丁香, Syzygium aromaticum). Red lotus (红莲花, Nelumbo nucifera). Blue lotus (青莲花, Nymphaea caerulea). Gold ochre (金赤土). The above ingredients in equal parts. Mix with white rock honey. This is the 'Wheel-Turning' incense (转轮香). Recite the mantra one thousand and eight times while mixing. Burn it to fumigate clothing, apply it to the forehead, eyelids, and body.
