English version The wonderful Dharma doors spoken by other Buddhas, if one can listen and receive with a focused mind, the Tathagata (如来) will predict that after more than nine hundred thousand lifetimes, one will obtain the Dharani (陀罗尼-mantra) method called 'Grasping the Boundless Door'. After obtaining it, one speaks it for others, benefiting countless beings, enabling them all to dwell in the irreversible Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (无上三菩提- unsurpassed perfect enlightenment). The son of the elder, Moon-Cover, upon hearing the Dharani (陀罗尼), arose with the merit of rejoicing. The Buddhas predicted for him: 'You receive the Dharani (陀罗尼), this is the most excellent. If you speak it for others, there will be none who do not love and rejoice in it. If people have questions, none will be able to refute it. In the future, after three asamkhya kalpas (僧祇劫- countless eons), the beings you convert will all attain the unsurpassed path.' The son of the elder, Moon-Cover, is Dipankara Buddha (然灯如来); the Dharma master who previously spoke the Dharma is Amitabha Buddha (无量寿佛). I and the Bodhisattvas, in the past, upon hearing this Dharani (陀罗尼), for four million kalpas, were not born in any of the evil realms. If a Bodhisattva wishes to attain the unsurpassed, all-knowing path, they should diligently practice and rejoice in the Dharani (陀罗尼). Why is this so? Because they can dwell in the state of non-retrogression. If one can rejoice, the merit is already so great, how much more so for those who write, recite, and explain its meaning? Suppose one were to fill countless worlds like the sands of the Ganges River with the seven treasures, the merit of such giving cannot be compared to the merit of rejoicing in the Dharani (陀罗尼). Therefore, wise people should diligently practice, listen to and receive the Dharani (陀罗尼), in order to seek the unsurpassed path. Sariputra (舍利弗), if a Bodhisattva receives and upholds this Dharani (陀罗尼), there are eight Yakshas (夜叉-demi-gods) dwelling in the Snow Mountains, guarding him day and night to increase his lifespan. Who are the eight? Valiant Yaksha (勇猛夜叉), Firm Yaksha (坚固夜叉), Free Yaksha (自在夜叉), Narayana-strength Yaksha (那罗延力夜叉), Dharma-application Yaksha (法用夜叉), Unrestrainable Yaksha (不可系夜叉), Crooked-teeth Yaksha (曲齿夜叉), Good-shouldered Yaksha (善肩夜叉). Sariputra (舍利弗), these eight Yakshas (夜叉) constantly guard those who receive and uphold the Dharani (陀罗尼). If one bathes cleanly, wears newly dyed clothes, constantly practices walking meditation, does not generate harmful thoughts towards all beings, and constantly contemplates this Dharani (陀罗尼), these Yakshas (夜叉) will quickly come to protect him. English version Great Bodhisattvas dwell in the Desire Realm heavens. They should protect and remember those who receive and uphold the dharani. Their names are Guangming Bodhisattva (Illuminating Bodhisattva), Huiguangming Bodhisattva (Wisdom Illuminating Bodhisattva), Riguangming Bodhisattva (Sun Illuminating Bodhisattva), Jiaohua Bodhisattva (Teaching Bodhisattva), Ling yiqie yiman Bodhisattva (Bodhisattva who fulfills all intentions), Dazizai Bodhisattva (Greatly Sovereign Bodhisattva), Suwang Bodhisattva (Constellation King Bodhisattva), Xingyi Bodhisattva (Intention in Action Bodhisattva). These Bodhisattvas obtain the dharani. If a Bodhisattva obtains the dharani, they should fulfill their true vows and be grateful. If a Bodhisattva recites the dharani, they should obtain the true Dharma and share it with all beings. If a Bodhisattva receives and upholds the dharani, they should be complete with merit and virtue, and achieve profound wisdom. When the Buddha spoke this Dharma, thirty hundred thousand billion nayutas (nayuta, a large number in Sanskrit) of Bodhisattvas obtained this Dharani of Attaining the Door of Limitless Access, and do not regress from Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (unsurpassed perfect enlightenment). Eighty vibhalas (vibhala, a large number in Sanskrit) of gods and humans generated the mind of Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (mind of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment). The elder Sariputra (Sariputra) said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, what should this sutra be called? How should we receive and uphold it?' The Buddha told Sariputra: 'This sutra is named the 'Dharani of Attaining the Door of Limitless Access' (Qu Wubian Men Tuoluoni). You should receive and uphold it. It is also named 'The Sole Practice of Bodhisattvas' (Pusa Yixiang Suoxing). You should receive and uphold it. It is also named 'Eliminating All Demons' (Chu Yiqie Zhu Mo). You should receive and uphold it. It is also named 'Attaining Omniscience' (De Yiqie Zhi). You should receive and uphold it.' At that time, Sariputra and all the Bodhisattvas, gods, dragons, yakshas (yaksha, a type of guardian deity), gandharvas (gandharva, a type of celestial musician), asuras (asura, a type of warring deity), garudas (garuda, a type of giant bird), kinnaras (kinnara, a type of celestial musician, half-human half-bird), mahoragas (mahoraga, a type of giant serpent deity), humans, and non-humans, hearing what the Buddha said, rejoiced and practiced accordingly.
