English version No. 959 'The Initiation Ritual of the Great Mandala of the Crown Wheel King' Old Name: Akha [(薩-文+(立-一))/木]rtva. New Name by Bianhong: Sarva Satika Auspicious. 'The Initiation Ritual of the Great Mandala of the Crown Wheel King' (Collected by the Shramana bu ṇi ka Auspicious of Shengshan Temple in Dongdu, with depictions of the Vajradhatu Mandala) In the inner courtyard, within the Samaya boundary of the central platform courtyard, a painting depicts the World Honored One Buddha seated on a lion throne. The throne is adorned with various treasures. The Holy One sits upon a white lotus flower, with a body of white-gold color, entering the supreme Samadhi King aspect. He sits in the lotus position, making the gesture of teaching the Dharma. From his entire body emanate twelve golden wheels of blazing light, surrounding him like wheels. From his crown flows various lights of blue, yellow, red, and white. He possesses the great marks of a man, leaning against the Bodhi tree. The tree has various leaves, like Cintamani jewels. Various banners and streamers are tied to the tree, or adorned with lapis lazuli treasures, heavenly fruits, and wondrous garments. Clouds descend and rain falls. There are various sprouts, and auspicious birds sit upon them. Or, among the branches, various precious leaves have formed a kalpa tree. The World Honored One leans against the tree with his shoulders. To the right of the Buddha, below the seat, is a depiction of a Chakravartin King, seated on a white lotus flower, gazing at the Buddha. His body is golden, radiating light all around. He is adorned with the seven treasures, with only the wheel treasure surrounded by light, placed on the lotus flower. The remaining six treasures are arranged in order. Southeast corner: 'Crushing Buddha Crown' (Cuisui Fotoding). South: 'Victorious Buddha Crown' (Nansheng Fotoding). Southwest corner: 'Boundless Sound Buddha Crown' (Wubiansheng Fotoding).
