The present Lamas Yawazangpa (Tibetan: གཡའ་བཟང་པ་, meaning: Yawazangpa) and Khenpo Yönnu Palwa (Tibetan: གཞོན་ནུ་དཔལ་བ་, meaning: Yönnu Palwa), and others who were present, how do you find this current experience? The venerable one laughed repeatedly, saying, 'I will be leaving on the eighth.' I asked, 'How do you feel?' The venerable one said, 'The yogi's experiential appearances are inconceivable.' Those present requested him to remain for the benefit of sentient beings. Then the venerable one said, 'I will stay until the tenth.' Then he said, 'After that, there will be no opportunity to stay.' So he stayed until the tenth. On the eighth day, the venerable one said, 'I must leave.' Those present repeatedly requested him, and the venerable one agreed to stay until the tenth. I prostrate to you, who have mastery over life! Then, on the morning of the tenth, the venerable one sat upright and demonstrated the manner of passing into nirvana. A five-colored rainbow appeared in the room, and a rain of flowers fell. Those present initially wanted to keep it a secret, but all these signs were seen by everyone, so it could not be kept secret, and everyone knew. On the fifteenth, the matter was made public, and the disciples paid homage to the remains and sought blessings. To dispel the clinging to permanence of beings, on the morning of the tenth, he sat upright, rainbows and rays of light filled the sky, and a rain of flowers fell, demonstrating the manner of going to another realm. I prostrate to you! On the sixteenth, during the cremation ceremony, everyone saw a rain of flowers falling. An old woman said, 'In the gaps of the clouds, two sons of gods are making offerings to Khenchen Rinpoche. Children, look!' Furthermore, whenever the monthly offering ceremony was held, rainbows and rains of flowers and other auspicious signs often appeared. Afterwards, led by Khenchen Yön Gyalwa (Tibetan: ཡོན་རྒྱལ་བ་, meaning: Yön Gyalwa), a vast assembly of monks was invited, and a grand Dharma assembly was held for the actual send-off ceremony. The remains were kept until the twenty-third of October. On that day, led by Khenchen Yön Gyalwa, preparations were made for the cremation ceremony. On the twenty-fourth, before the remains were set on fire, the patron Jampal (Tibetan: འཇམ་དཔལ་, meaning: Jampal) saw a great light emanating from the reliquary and said, 'Have the remains already been cremated? It seems to be burning!' Afterwards, the cremation ceremony was held on the fifteenth day of the fourth month of the Year of the Rabbit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During that time, offerings were made continuously by a Sangha of four monks in rotation. At those times, many wondrous signs also appeared. At the time of the Nirvana (gShegs rdzongs), monthly and yearly offerings, and during the cremation, rainbows, light, and showers of flowers, etc., were seen by everyone. I prostrate to you, who increased the faith of beings. After that, on the sixteenth day, many disciples and patrons gathered, and when the reliquary was opened, the assembled patrons found a self-arisen image of Manjushri ('jam dbyangs kyi sku rang byon). When the ashes were distributed, a self-arisen 'A' (ཨ,A,a,无) appeared in the ashes of a nun. I also saw the relics attached to these ashes and was very amazed, and offered pure offerings. Furthermore, many special relics appeared in the ashes of each individual. Also, the ashes that were taken to the assembly and placed in the room appeared like a curtain of light. The Vinaya holder, named Teacher Paltson (dPal brtson), saw this, and told Geshe (dGe bshes) Drakzang (Grags bzang) and some other friends, and everyone unanimously saw it. When the reliquary was opened, images, letters, and many relics with great wonders appeared. This also increased the merit of beings. I prostrate to you, the supreme guide of beings. After that, Khenchen (mKhan chen) Yonten Gyal (Yon rgyal) built a large golden statue as an inner support (nang rten) in order to fulfill the wishes of the departed, and appointed Wonpo Gyaltsen Pal (dBon Jo gNang Chos mdzod chen mo las) as the head of the Ri Khrod (Ri khrod) seat. Those who lived in Ri Khrod also built golden statues as inner supports and prayed, and the subsequent activities of spreading the Dharma were also very wonderful. Your regent Yonten Tsenjen, in order to fulfill your pure wishes, built the wonderful three supports (rTen gsum) of our monastery. I prostrate to your wonderful activities of spreading the Dharma. Therefore, this holy being is no different from all the Buddhas. Although it is difficult to measure his liberation, the nephew of Khenchen Rinpoche (mKhan chen Rin po che), the holder of the Pitaka, Chodrak Palzangpo (Chos drug dPal bzang po), handed over the draft of the biography and repeatedly urged Zhangton (Zhang ston) the great scholar Sonam Drakpa (bSod nams Grags) to write this biography at Chok Dechhen Palding (mChod gnas bDe chen dPal sdings). You are all the Buddhas, all the Buddhas. You are, therefore your deeds, although difficult to measure, are written in the biography to increase the faith of those to be tamed.
