In terms of protection: Consider your own body as an aggregation of the five skandhas. From it, exhale breath, the Lord of Death (Mara), the abode of afflictions is affliction, the source of joy is the son of the gods—all these are merely manifestations of one's own mind. 1-369 Even if the body is formed, it is formed from 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: without); even if it decays, it decays from 'A'. Visualize a white 'A' at your navel. From that 'A', light emanates, filling the entire body, radiating outward, touching all containers and contents of the world. Purify sins and obscurations, then dissolve into light, abiding in emptiness. When arising, all containers and contents of the world arise from 'A', becoming the mandala of the deity. The method of protecting the dwelling is: visualize four Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal meaning: Great compassion) at the four corners of the bed. One Hrīḥ below, one Hrīḥ at the head, and one Hrīḥ above, like the one below. The four Hrīḥ intermingle with red light. Visualize the lower Hrīḥ as a triangular flame, and the upper one also as a triangular flame. The upper one protects the son of the gods, the four directions protect the yakshas in the retinue of the Four Great Kings with flames, and the lower one protects the yakshas. On the ground, do not dig when the grass is growing, reveal it in the evening, and cover it when walking. The wrathful protection is Hayagriva. If staying in an unclean place, visualize the light from the Hrīḥ at the heart purifying the sins between hells, then recite. Conclusion. 1-370 The Torma (Bali, offering) is similar to one hundred and eight and scattered Tormas, used for purification. Gather all the sins you have thought of in your heart, and visualize them as black on the tongue. Then recite the six-syllable mantra (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: ॐ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Literal meaning: Om! Jewel in the lotus! Hum!), visualizing the sins being completely destroyed like a strong stream of water hitting the sand. When placing it, visualize it as pure and stainless, sealed with emptiness. Dedicate the merit. The method of the four powers is explained in detail in the scriptures. Saccha (a ritual): Visualize the earth as empty, with the syllable Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal meaning: Great compassion) surrounded by the six-syllable mantra. Visualize it melting into a collection of bubbles. Recite Mani (Tibetan: མ་ཎི་, Devanagari: मणि, Romanized Sanskrit: maṇi, Literal meaning: Jewel) to do all things. The blessings of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating are combined according to the situation. Water offerings are similar to others, in short, reciting Mani with compassion and sprinkling water is sufficient. Springs, flowing water, etc., are sufficient with the blessing of nectar. Fire pujas have four types: pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating. The shape is said to be the same as the usual shape. Place a butter lamp in a copper basin. Visualize as the deity, the offerings are various grains. Make images with cotton, flowers, etc. The offering mantra is the six-syllable mantra, adding śāntiṃ kuru ye svāhā (Devanagari: शान्तिं कुरु ये स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: śāntiṃ kuru ye svāhā, Literal meaning: Peace, do, may you, Svaha) for pacifying. Similarly, for increasing, add puṣṭiṃ kuru oṃ (Devanagari: पुष्टिं कुरु ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: puṣṭiṃ kuru oṃ, Literal meaning: Increase, do, Om). For magnetizing, add vaśaṃ kuru hoḥ (Devanagari: वशं कुरु होः, Romanized Sanskrit: vaśaṃ kuru hoḥ, Literal meaning: Control, do, Hoh). For subjugating, add māraya phaṭ (Devanagari: मारय फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: māraya phaṭ, Literal meaning: Kill, Phat). The large purification fire puja is: collect many flowers and dry them in the shade. Wet the workplace with white sandalwood water. In the center, first dig a circle, one cubit deep and half a cubit in diameter, cover it with thatch. Place a Manjushri plate on top of it.
