Collection of Instructions by Salopa SL47 Vajrakila of the Sa Tradition: The Blazing Light of Vajra Fire Offering 1-927 ༄༅། །Vajrakila of the Sa Tradition: The Blazing Light of Vajra Fire Offering ༄། །Preparation ༄༅། །Vajrakila of the Sa Tradition: The Blazing Light of Vajra Fire Offering. Namaḥ śrī vajrakumārāya (Sanskrit: namaḥ śrī vajrakumārāya, Romanized Sanskrit: namaḥ śrī vajrakumārāya, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Auspicious Vajra Youth). Homage to the supreme guru and the yidam deity, I prostrate to Vajra Kumara. Now I will explain the peaceful fire offering for recitation completion and so forth. A yogi who has previously practiced the Vajrakila of the Sa Tradition, in performing the peaceful fire offering, there are three aspects: preparation, main practice, and concluding rites. Firstly, the preparation: In a suitable location, on a square platform of one cubit, draw a fire pit in accordance with the general peaceful fire offering, with a ten-spoked wheel in the center. In the center and ten directions, arrange the emblems of the deities and clusters of flowers. Outside the wheel, inside the fire pit, arrange clusters of four doors. On top of the opening, stack firewood according to the practical instructions. Place a copper bowl with sesame seeds and young plants with butter in the southeast. To the right of the yogi, place the offering substances for the fire offering; to the left, the offering items; in front, a fire screen. Between the vajra and bell, place a pair of ladles facing each other, inner offering, ḍamaru, and a sprinkler with cleansing water. Also, prepare kusha grass, incense burner, firewood, musical instruments, and so on. On the left side, arrange three tormas or as many as available. Sit facing east, wearing white clothes, with a peaceful mind, in a lotus position or squatting. ༄། །Main Practice. Divided into generating oneself as the deity, offering to the worldly fire god. Secondly, the main practice, divided into three parts: generating oneself as the deity, offering to the worldly fire god. 1-928 Offering to the transcendent fire god. The first part, if not connected to the mandala in front, then according to the sadhana, meditate completely until the recitation of the concluding mantra. Sprinkle the inner offering with the tip of the vajra, reciting: Om Vajra Krodha Amrita Kundali Hum Chinda Chinda Hum Phat (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཀྲོ་དྷ་ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ་ཀུནྜ་ལི་ཧཱུྃ་ཚིནྡྷ་ཚིནྡྷ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ वज्रक्रोध अम्र̥त कुण्डलि हुं छिन्द छिन्द हुं फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ vajrakrodha amṛta kuṇḍali hūṃ chinda chinda hūṃ phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajra Wrathful, Ambrosia, Coiled One, Hum, Cut, Cut, Hum, Phat). Om Svabhava Shuddha Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho 'Ham (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷ་སརྦ་དྷརྨ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ स्वभावा शुद्ध सर्वधर्माः स्वभावा शुद्धोऽहम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ svabhāva śuddha sarvadharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'ham, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Self-nature Pure, All Dharmas, Self-nature Pure I). From emptiness, from the syllable Sham (Tibetan: ཤཾ།) arises a conch-shaped vessel, possessing all qualities, inside which, from the syllable Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) emanates clear and unobstructed cleansing water, possessing the power to purify the fire pit and all implements, and to eliminate all defilements and impurities. Recite the above coiled mantra twenty-one times. Then, using a sprinkler made of kusha grass, sprinkle cleansing water on the fire pit and implements, reciting the coiled mantra and the Svabhava mantra, performing purification. From emptiness, from the syllable Ah (Tibetan: ཨ།) arises wisdom --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Within the vast and expansive skull-cup of the earth, from Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) arise divine offerings: water for the feet, flowers, incense, lamps, supreme fragrance, food, and music, pure and unobstructed, like the clouds of offerings arising from the liberation of glorious Samantabhadra's conduct. Also, the burnt offerings are pure and pleasing, possessing the power to accomplish peaceful actions. Oṃ Vajra Āhara Hūṃ (ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨཱ་ཧ་ར་ལི་ཧཱུྃ) ... up to Visphūraya Hūṃ (བིསྤཱུ་ར་ཡ་ཧཱུྃ), Oṃ Śrīṃ Svāhā (ཨོཾ་ཤྲཱིཾ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།), Oṃ Vajriṃ Svāhā (ཨོཾ་བཛྲིཾ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།), Oṃ Oṃ Svāhā (ཨོཾ་ཨོཾ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།), Oṃ Kuru Kuru Svāhā (ཨོཾ་ཀུ་རུ་ཀུ་རུ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།). Second, offering to the worldly fire god: Again, sprinkle scented water on the hearth, purify with the whirling mantra and Svabhāva. From emptiness, from Paṃ (པཾ) arises a lotus, and from Raṃ (རཾ) a sun disc, upon which, from Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ), arises a peaceful white circular hearth, one cubit in width and half a cubit in depth, marked with vajras on the rim and edges, with a square platform outside, adorned with crescent vajras at the four corners, pure and unobstructed, with wooden walls. In the center, upon the lotus and sun, from Raṃ (རཾ) arises a rosary, marked with Raṃ (རཾ), from which rays of light emanate and converge into one, transforming into the fire god, with a red body, emitting and gathering white light, riding a ram, with one face and two arms, holding a rosary in the right hand and a water pot in the left, with a large belly, a matted hairstyle, and a beard, surrounded by a gathering of sages, with Oṃ (ཨོཾ) on the forehead, Āḥ (ཨཱཿ) on the throat, and Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ) at the heart. From one's own heart, rays of light emanate, inviting the fire god and retinue from the east, Vajrasattva. Waving the three-pronged staff mudra near the ears: Oṃ, come hither, come hither, great element! King of the fire gods, supreme sage! For the sake of consuming burnt offerings and food, please descend here! Majestic and great fire god, who fulfills all desires, who benefits sentient beings with compassion, please descend here!
