The Empowerment Ritual of the Heart Essence Tigle of Vajrasattva, the Gathering of Three Treasures, Opening the Door to Clear Light, by Tennyi Yungdrung Lingpa. This concludes the text called "The Empowerment Ritual of the Heart Essence Tigle of Vajrasattva, the Gathering of Three Treasures, Opening the Door to Clear Light." Namo Guru Vajra Sattvaya (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཡ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरु वज्र सत्वाय, Sanskrit Romanization: Namo guru vajra satvāya, Literal Chinese Meaning: Homage to Guru Vajra Sattva), From the self-arisen tigle, clear as light, With countless realms and emanations of body, The boundless Dharma doors, the effortless Great Vehicle, To the one who shows the single path to liberation, I pay homage. The three rivers of wondrous profound treasures, Gathering into a nectarine ocean of maturation, In the golden vase of the worthy vessel's heart, Filling this, may it produce the seeds of benefiting others. The quintessence of all teachings, the supremely secret Great Perfection, The empowerment of the heart essence tigle of Vajrasattva, is divided into three parts: preliminaries, main practice, and conclusion. First, the preliminaries, divided into two: 1. Preparing the offerings; 2. Practicing yoga for the meaning of empowerment. First: In a secluded place, on a raised platform, place a mandala, an eight-petaled lotus, surrounded by a five-colored rainbow, upon which place a precious vase filled with essence, adorned with a five-colored silk scarf and ornaments. To the right, place a skull cup filled with strong liquor mixed with amrita and the three sweets. To the left, place a torma adorned with precious jewels and flames. In front, erect a peacock feather. Behind, place the three offerings of medicine, alcohol, and torma. In front, arrange the outer offerings in rows. Gather the necessary items such as the activity vase and the tsok torma. Second, practicing yoga: First, proceed with the lineage prayer, as described in the activity manual "Clear Discernment of Meaning" composed by the great vidyadhara Tsewang Norbu, starting from refuge and bodhicitta, and proceeding in order. Meditate on self and front being inseparable. Complete as much as possible the recitation of the three activities of pacifying, increasing, and subjugating, and offer praise. Then offer the protector torma, proceeding from the blessing of the tsok to the expulsion, and enjoy the tsok. At a convenient time, in the activity vase, practice the generation stage and recitation of Vajrasattva, and bless it. Second, the main practice of empowerment: First, have the disciples recite the hundred-syllable mantra and bathe with the activity water. Perform the blessing and dedication of the obstacle-removing torma in common.

Salutations. Bestowing blessings according to the ritual manual and defining its boundaries. Offering and withdrawing the mandala, and clearly establishing the generation of bodhicitta. The distinction of teaching the Dharma. Moreover, from the Buddha who has been naturally abiding since the beginning, the spontaneously arising from the power of glorious Samantabhadra, the teacher, the Bhagavan, glorious Vajrasattva, who spontaneously accomplished the three kayas, to the retinue who are not different from himself, the victorious ones, heroes, yoginis, and so forth, he proclaimed the essence of the sixty-four myriads of Great Perfection tantras, the heart of all tantras, the root of all agamas, the quintessence of all instructions, the supreme peak of all teachings, the seed of the teachings of the three kayas, the ultimate essence of the three outer, inner, and secret aspects, more secret than the secret, the unerring intention of Vajrasattva, introducing the thorough overturning of samsara, attaining Buddhahood without meditation, the great self-abiding tantra, called the Vajrasattva Heart Essence Tantra, transmitted through intention. In particular, to the emanation Garab Dorje, he blessed and revealed all the instructions of words and meanings in their natural state. He himself, in the great charnel ground of Cool Grove, during the time when he taught the Dharma for seventy years to countless disciples of wisdom such as the dakini Sunlight, the master Padmasambhava of Oddiyana met him, and with just a gesture, he pointed his finger at the nature of reality, causing him to comprehend all the words and meanings, and enthroned him as the regent, the lord of the teachings. He himself, in the land of Tibet, while residing for one hundred and eleven years for the sake of the disciples to be directly trained, in the cave above the pearl crystal stupa, bestowed all the instructions completely to the great emanation translator Vairochana, and among them, he especially bestowed this as the profound distinction like the pure essence of heart blood, and the command of all words and meanings descended. The great translator transmitted the oral transmission to Loden Tsemang and Dharmashila, and liberated them. According to the command of Guru Rinpoche, considering the future disciples who would appear in succession, he wrote three copies on yellow paper separately and hid them in three treasure places. Among them, the first treasure is that the great translator Vairochana himself transformed into the emanation of
