Take your seats. Then, the master performs the exorcism and establishes the boundaries. He explains the general and specific Dharma. He offers the mandala. He makes supplications. He performs the rituals of taking vows as usual. Then, he reveals the deity and lays the foundation for blessings. He dispels obstacles. He generates the disciple as the deity. He bestows blessings and, for the sake of stability, recites "Tishta Vajra." Then, after reciting the mantra of Vajra Saraha three times, for the purpose of the actual empowerment, he supplicates the master. He supplicates for the bestowal of the deathless life accomplishment upon me. He supplicates in this way three times. Then, from the summoning of life onwards, up to the restoration of vows and precepts, he proceeds according to the outline composed by the all-knowing Gendun Gyatso for the empowerment ritual of the Accomplished Queen. Then, after accomplishing the summoning of life, together with the arrow and banner, he places the vase on the disciple's head. He recites the names of the root and lineage masters and gives instructions, merging the deity's flame into the disciple in the manner of one flame branching into two. He recites "Relying on partaking of this life wine," and so on. He recites "Life wine and life pills," and so on, and bestows the life pills. Then comes the binding of life: Visualize that in the center of the white light of the life support, there is consciousness in the form of the letter "Nri," located within the combined sun and moon gau box. Imagine that it is bound without interruption by the vajra chain, and touch the heart with the vajra. O sun and moon gau box! O indivisible, solid vajra! Bound tightly by the vajra chain, may it never waver and become stable. Recite: Om Amaraṇi Jīvantīye Svāhā. Visualize that the rays of light emanating from the heart dissolve all phenomena into light, which merges into oneself. It then merges into the gau box. It merges into the light. It merges into the letter. Visualize it like a rainbow dissolving. In the vast expanse of emptiness, primordially pure, which cannot be harmed by anything, hide the unchanging, stable life. Recite this verse and the mantra. Then comes the protection of life: Again, in an instant, visualize the disciple as Amitayus, and at the chakra of the eyebrow, the glorious Hayagriva, holding a curved knife and skull cup, terrifying in appearance, resides in the midst of a blazing fire, and visualize that all obstacles are thereby protected.

眉间脉之门扉处，马头明王忿怒尊之主，以难以忍受之威光，守护一切寿命之障碍。念诵咒语并涂红丹，增延寿命者：广大无垠之前方虚空中，根本上师无量寿佛，传承上师如云般密集，本尊坛城眷属围绕，空行母空行舞姿变幻，护法守卫役使如仆，悦耳之音声如千龙轰鸣，吉祥之花朵如雨降临，聚集于此具缘之众等，获得不死寿命之吉祥！财富名声之吉祥！大乐智慧之吉祥！心想事成之吉祥！其他亦作各种吉祥之偈颂。如主尊仪轨和献曼扎，从今起等如常进行。此法若作简略，至迎请智慧尊前与前同，于实际灌顶时，依寿瓶而赐灌顶，依寿酒而赐灌顶，依寿丸而赐灌顶，仅作护寿、延寿即可。若稍作增广，则加上勾招寿命即可。依寿瓶而延寿时，将五大元素汇聚一处，若又作极简略，则于“世尊之手持宝瓶中”等句时，依彼处之行文，将一切灌顶之词句作简略亦可。三为结尾之仪轨：供养酬谢，送迎诸佛，回向善根，事业之印不显现。不死寿命之口诀莲花之法藏，来自具德金刚之口诀精华，此乃由具恩上师处所传承，以利益他人之心而记录成文。以此善根愿消除非时死之黑暗，祈愿无量寿怙主慈悲之光芒，驱散至有边际，成就金刚之自性坚固寿命。如是近传寿命引导不死金刚命脉汇集，乃是应贡日嘎波（宫殿名）之管家，翁德格登喇嘛绛巴贡嘎炯乃之长期劝请，由扎霍尔之僧人阿旺洛桑嘉措于吉祥哲蚌寺缮写，书写者为阿旺德。

At the doorway of the brow chakra, Lord Hayagriva, the wrathful king, with unbearable splendor, protect all obstacles to life. Recite mantras and apply red ochre, to extend life: In the vast expanse of the sky in front, the root guru Amitayus, the lineage gurus gather like clouds, the yidam deities are surrounded by their retinue, the mothers and dakinis transform their dance, the Dharma protectors and guardians are employed as servants, the sound of melodious voices roars like a thousand dragons, auspicious flowers fall like rain. May all fortunate ones gathered here receive the auspiciousness of immortal life! The auspiciousness of wealth and fame! The auspiciousness of great bliss and wisdom! The auspiciousness of fulfilling wishes! Also, recite various auspicious verses. Perform the main part as before, including the mandala offering and "From this day forward..." To condense this practice, up to the point of invoking the wisdom beings, it is the same as before. During the actual empowerment, empower based on the longevity vase, empower based on the longevity wine, empower based on the longevity pills, and simply perform the protection and extension of life. If you want to elaborate a little more, you can add the invocation of life. When extending life based on the longevity vase, gather the five elements together. If you want to condense it even further, during the phrases such as "In the vase held in the hands of the Bhagavan," you can condense all the words of empowerment according to the flow of the text there. The third is the concluding ritual: Offering thanks, farewell, dedication of merit, and the signs of the activity should not be visible. The nectar of immortal life, the Padma teaching, the essence of the instructions that came from the glorious Vajra, this lineage from the venerable lama, was written down with the intention of benefiting others. By this virtue, may the darkness of untimely death be eliminated, may the light of compassion of the protector Amitayus dispel to the end of existence, and may the diamond nature of stable and firm life be accomplished. This compilation of the near lineage life-enhancing instructions, the immortal vajra lifeline, was written at the request of the steward of Gongri Karpo Palace, Ngondegden Lama Jampa Kunga Jungne, by the Zahor monk Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso at glorious Drepung Monastery, and the scribe was Ngawang De.
