The all-pervading lord of all families, Skull Garland Power, fiercely blazing against the vicious enemy, by the mudra of devotion, may the supreme practice be accomplished through reading the activity. Here there are three: preliminary, main part, and subsequent order. First, the preparation for the activity: During the practice, place a qualified phurba on top of a single mandala as a support for the practice. Prepare the three: medicine, rakta, and torma. Arrange the outer offerings as usual. During the empowerment, prepare as explained in the empowerment ritual. The order of the activity: The text says, "Act according to the vidyadhara's text, before and after." The meaning of this is to arrange it with the necessary modifications according to the situation. First, the first preparation, which is refuge, bodhicitta, and accumulation of merit: Namo, I and all limitless sentient beings, take refuge in the lama, the essence of the Three Jewels, in the mandala of the fierce Hayagriva, with faith from the depths of my heart. Repeat three times. Ho, having entered this fierce mandala, in order to liberate all sentient beings, parents of the six realms, with immeasurable compassion, generate the bodhicitta of aspiration, engagement, and ultimate meaning. Hrih, in this pure and vast mandala of vessel and contents, there is not even the name of obstacles and hindrances. The sudden delusion of conceptual thoughts, I cut off the boundary in the nature of the Dharma realm. Bestowing blessings: Hum, all the deities of the fierce Hayagriva, generate compassion from the expanse of the Dharmakaya, the Sambhogakaya.
