Then, focusing on the thun, Om namo bhagavan tsanaya, tsandha kuru hataya, sara sara, suru suru, surya naga sarva trasha, sama hara panca ni svaha. Recite this one hundred and eight times. Then, recite the mantras of the stone wheel according to the text. Recite the essence of dependent arising about one hundred and eight times at the end. During these times, hold the protection cord, and from the heart of oneself, clear as a deity, the light rays of the mantra entwine the protection cord and go forth. Strike the phurba, thun, ribs, bones, and stone wheel. From these, light rays radiate in the ten directions, offering to the noble ones and stimulating their minds. All the blessings of body, speech, and mind manifest as the wrathful body, the seed syllables of speech, and the hand implements of mind, dissolving into the supports. Meditate and recite that the blessings of the vajra nature of the body, speech, and mind of all the victorious ones have become powerful. The mantras pass through the protection cord and empower the substances of accomplishment. Scatter mantras on the flowers as well. Hum, in the realm of the dharmadhatu, and so forth, inspire the recitation, and recite auspicious verses as appropriate. Invoke and invite the complete vidyadharas, and so forth, make offerings and praises of meaning. At the end of the evening session, make extensive fulfillment offerings to the protectors.

Inside the stacked cairns, place stone wheels, tsa-tsas, hail pellets, wooden pegs, and tormas Kyugu Re, etc. Purify the cairns with incense. From emptiness, visualize the cairns as Mount Meru made of sky-iron, blazing with flames. On top of that, visualize the wooden pegs as individual deities, and the stone wheels and cairns, etc., as Vajra's fierce power, the ten wrathful ones blazing with flames, with their retinues. Specifically, in the wheel of the eastern cairn, visualize the wrathful assembly such as Nampar Gyalwa (Victorious One). In the southeast, a blue staff; in the south, Yama; in the southwest, Achala Gonpo (Immovable Protector); in the west, Hayagriva (Horse-necked One); in the northwest, Invincible One; in the north, Ambrosia Swirl; in the northeast, Three Realms Victorious One, etc. Visualize the wrathful deities, male and female, with their retinues, in their respective directions and intermediate directions. Therefore, visualize the protective circle like the Vajra tent and fire mountain, etc., as common protective circles. Third, melt the upper hail like snow. Fourth, drive away the hail from the mountainside like a hailstorm. Fifth, split the hail roots in half like a curved knife. Sixth, hurl the hail clouds like cannonballs into enemy territory. Seventh, melt the hail with fire in the water, etc., use according to the situation. Furthermore, also measure the inner, secret, and very secret protection methods with wisdom, and use appropriate methods.
