The subsidiary bathing ritual, Moon Nectar, for the Guru's Heart Practice that Dispels All Obstacles. Chokgyur Lingpa. The subsidiary bathing ritual, Moon Nectar, for the Guru's Heart Practice that Dispels All Obstacles. Chokgyur Lingpa. This is the subsidiary bathing ritual called Moon Nectar for the Guru's Heart Practice that Dispels All Obstacles. In that, whatever destroys the darkness of existence, bestows the nectar of benefit and bliss, after respectfully bowing to the guru and deity, I will explain the bathing ritual. It has four parts: preliminaries, main practice, subsequent activities, and additional meanings. The preliminaries have three parts: preparation, self-generation deity yoga, and accomplishing the vase. The first is: fill a vase with ordinary flowing water and add the twenty-five substances. Tie a neck cord. Arrange a conch shell filled with fragrant water on a stand adorned with a vajra knot rope. Place the mouth ornament nearby. Surround it with seven offerings. Namo! Guru, yidam, dakini, Three Jewels, ocean of victorious ones, until enlightenment, I and all beings take refuge with one-pointed devotion. Ho! All sentient beings who have been my mothers, in order to attain the state of Buddhahood, I will refrain from all misdeeds, accumulate virtue and dharma, and always generate the altruistic bodhicitta. Purify the offerings with svabhāva (藏文,梵文天城体,svabhāva,self-nature). Expand them into a cloud of Samantabhadra offerings with the extensive space treasury mantra, beginning with bhyo viśva (藏文,梵文天城体,bhyo viśva,increase all). Second, the self-generation deity yoga is: Ah! Vajrasattva, vast as the sky, Unseizable like a reflection of the moon in water, From the play of Samantabhadra, The root deity of the union of skillful means and wisdom, A white being holding a vajra and bell, His own light embracing his consort, uniting bliss and emptiness, Adorned with silks and precious jewels, Clearly visualize in a natural, unfabricated state. Recite a little of Oṃ Vajrasattva Āḥ (藏文,梵文天城体,oṃ vajrasattva āḥ,Om Vajrasattva Ah). Third, accomplishing the vase is: Oṃ Mahāśūnyatā (藏文,梵文天城体,oṃ mahāśūnyatā,Om Great Emptiness), etc. From the state of emptiness, on a lotus moon seat, The syllable Bhrūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,bhrūṃ, भ्रൂം ) transforms, in an instant, into a precious vase complete with all characteristics, In the center of which is completely filled with nectar water, From Paṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,paṃ, པཾ ) comes the pistil of a lotus stem, From Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,hūṃ, हूँ ) comes Vajrasattva who purifies all karmic obscurations, His body color is white and clear, holding a vajra and bell, Adorned with silks and precious jewels, sitting in the vajra posture, On the four sides are four lotus petals.
