The Swift Path to Liberation, a Ritual for Guiding the Deceased. Gyurme Dorje. The Swift Path to Liberation, a Ritual for Guiding the Deceased. Gyurme Dorje. Herein lies the ritual called "The Swift Path to Liberation, a Ritual for Guiding the Deceased." The Swift Path to Liberation, a Ritual for Guiding the Deceased. Homage to the glorious Lama who utterly destroys all bad migrations. The darkness of accumulated karma, affliction, and obscurations, with rays of blazing light from the sun of compassion, having exhausted and illuminated the excellent path of great bliss, to the all-pervading Vajrasattva, I pay homage. Those who are not deceived by the actions of those who appear to be Vajrayana yogis, and who are subject to the compassion of others, should diligently engage in this method of guiding those sentient beings who have become objects of compassion, who have fallen into the belly of the Lord of Death, and who are tormented by the fear of bad migrations. That is, in the eastern gate of the mandala of the basis of the peaceful, wrathful, and illusory deities, etc., which is manifestly assembled, on top of an eight-petaled white lotus, place the corpse of the deceased or a plaque with the written form and name, along with incense and other offerings. Furthermore, gather all the necessary materials, such as purification items and food offerings. Then, having accomplished and offered to the mandala on which to rely, proceeding with one's own entry, the actual ritual has two parts, lower and higher. The first also includes: establishing the basis, invoking the consciousness, dispelling obstacles, purifying sins, washing and wiping, expelling poisons, initiating refuge, bestowing empowerment, offering food, showing the path, transferring consciousness, burning the plaque, and incidentally, the thirteen activities of making tsa-tsas. The first is: purify and cleanse the object of focus. From the state of emptiness, on top of a lotus and moon, from the name plaque (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)ནྲྀ་(ṇṛ,nri, person)imagine the appearance of the deceased's form as it was. The second is invoking the consciousness: Namo. By the power of truth of the root and lineage lamas, the Three Jewels, and the assembly of victorious ones, By the power of truth of the peaceful, wrathful, and illusory deities, with their retinues, By the power of truth of the secret mantras, vidya mantras, dharani mantras, heart mantras, mudras, and samadhis, By the power of the great truth, I beseech you, so-and-so, who has passed from this world to the other,

May the consciousness, wherever it dwells in the three realms and six realms, come here in an instant! Hūm! Listen, deceased son of the lineage! The life that sustains you is exhausted, The illusory wheel of the five aggregates is broken. You have gone to the other shore. Consciousness, without support, by the power of karma, Wherever you dwell in the three realms and six realms, Remember the deities and lamas, With devotion and longing, come here! Image, body support, nameplate, and speech, The syllable Nri (ནྲྀ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,IAST:hrīḥ,meaning: great compassion) is the support of the mind, with defilements, Habitual tendencies are the support, come quickly! Abide here with a mindful mind. Nṛ Vajra Aṃ Ku Sha Jaḥ Jaḥ Hūṃ Baṃ Hoḥ Recite three times, and visualize the consciousness dissolving into the support in the form of a short "A". Third, purifying obstacles: Prepare the purifying substances. Pacify with three recitations of "Om Sarva Vighnān Namaḥ," etc. Spin the torma and recite Sumba Hani halfway. Meditate on yourself as Hūṃ, and invite the wrathful deity, Offer and praise. As before, by the blessing of the great truth of reciting the power of truth, May all the obstructing forces that hinder life during the life of the deceased and hinder the purification of sins during death be satisfied by this torma, and leave this place and go elsewhere! If you do not leave, then the wisdom vajra of the wrathful deity, blazing with fire, will shatter your heads into a hundred pieces! Recite fierce mantras and scatter white mustard seeds. Purify fiercely with the sound of musical instruments. Fourth, purifying sins: Prepare sesame seeds, fire, and water in front. Visualize all the sins and obscurations accumulated by the deceased from beginningless lifetimes existing in the heart in the form of a black syllable Kaṃ, dispelled by the wisdom fire of the navel's inner heat. Sins emerge from the nostrils in the form of horned demons and dissolve into the sesame seeds in front. That sesame is burned by the wisdom fire and cast into the ocean of Dharma. Recite "Om Sarva Pāpaṃ Dahana Bhasmiṃ Kuru Svāhā," and burn to the right with fire. Pour water to the left and recite "Śāntiṃ Kuru Svāhā," and cast it out with musical instruments. Then, strike the support with sand that has been recited with the Hundred Syllable Mantra and the Dharani for Purifying the Lower Realms, and sins and obscurations by mere touch.
