Outer, Inner, and Secret Offering Garland from the Heart Practice, Essence Gathering. Ratna Lingpa. Outer, Inner, and Secret Offering Garland from the Heart Practice, Essence Gathering. Ratna Lingpa. From the Heart Practice, Essence Gathering, the so-called Outer, Inner, and Secret Offering Garland, is a special characteristic of Ratna Lingpa. In Sanskrit: Guru Upa Bhahe Bhita Guhya Puja Dza Sa Malinama. In Tibetan: The Guru's Practice, Outer, Inner, and Secret Offering Garland. I prostrate with reverence to the Three Roots. In order to strive to approach the supreme practice, in order to diligently accomplish the benefit of oneself and others, I will explain the Outer, Inner, and Secret Offering Garland. Here, it is explained with thirteen steps: Bestowing blessings, setting boundaries, blessing the offering cake, generating the deity, inviting, requesting to be seated, prostrating, offering outer, inner, and secret offerings, offering medicine and alcohol, praising and confessing, making aspirations, and reciting auspicious words. This is the first step: Oneself, with the samadhi of the yidam deity, blesses the obstacle-destroying torma and bestows blessings: Hūṃ! Everything is originally in the mandala of the Dharmakaya; although the assembly of obstacles of dualistic grasping is not visible, the obstacles that create hindrances to the accomplishment of enlightenment, all demons and misleading influences, go away! Oṃ Sumba Ni Sumba Hūṃ! Grihna Grihna Hūṃ! Grihna Paya Grihna Paya Hūṃ! Anaya Ho! Bhagavan! Vidyaraja Ya Hūṃ Phat! The act of setting boundaries: Hūṃ! I am the powerful wrathful Heruka; above and below, the flames of weapons blaze in all directions; many small wrathful yakshas stir like stars; those who transgress the command will be destroyed like dust particles! Oṃ Hrīḥ Vajra Krota Hayagrīva Utsataya Vajra Raksha Raksha Hūṃ Phat! Blessing the offering cake: Hūṃ! All containers and contents are clouds of outer and inner offerings; existence and appearance are established as the basis, the realm of great bliss of equality and completion; all outer, inner, and secret threefold immeasurable offerings, manifest as clouds that please the Buddhas of the three times.
