Contemplate that it dissolves into the torma, its essence being wisdom nectar, its form being a heap of flesh and blood. Visualize the Protector and his retinue in the mandala. Recite. Arrange a session torma and bless it as before. Offer to the main deity and retinue by adding བ་ལིཾ་ཏ་ཁ་ཁ་ཁཱ་ཧིཿ to the end of their mantras, and entrust them with activities. By completing seven hundred thousand recitations, one will be able to see the face of the Protector. At the time of accomplishment, dedicate the great tormas as well, and except for the main deity's torma, withdraw the rest. Dissolve the deities into the image and reside in a secluded place, and in front of it, constantly offer black grains.

During the recitation, visualize light radiating from your heart and striking the Protector's heart. Hūṃ. From the terrifying charnel ground, awaken, remember, Great Black One! Mahākāla and his retinue, I practice the essence for enlightenment, for the benefit of all sentient beings, Protector Black One and his retinue, by the power of relying on, reciting, practicing, and offering, now I urge you to remember your oath. May Mahākāla's power not diminish, may the retinue's messengers' abilities not weaken. For those who break vows, enemies, demons, and evildoers, who destroy the Buddha's teachings, despise the Three Jewels, and create obstacles to the practice of enlightenment, this is the object to be destroyed. Just like the oath of the past, send forth emanated messengers to carry out the task, seize the vow-breaking enemies and demons, merge the consciousness with the object of support, separate them from the protecting deity, deprive them of power, ability, and magical powers, turn their body, speech, and mind into curses, make them mad, faint, and stiff. Completely cut off all life spans, the time for fierce action has come. After praying in this way, the Protector becomes enraged, and light radiates from his heart, striking the hearts of the retinue's messengers. Gum Gum, Chum Chum, gather together to carry out the task, the countless emanated messengers, with iron hooks seize the heart, with ropes bind the neck, with iron chains bind the limbs, with bells make them faint, and put them in the prison in front of the Protector. The messengers rain down showers of evil substances, driving away the guardian deities, and the practitioner manifests as Manjushri Yamantaka.
