Homage to the Guru, glorious Great Bliss! Before the great incarnation of the Abbot of Oddiyana, Vajradhara, I, the translator of Gnyak, offer a precious golden mandala and request: Venerable Guru Rinpoche, you are the wisdom body of Glorious Vajra Amrita Great Bliss, inseparable from the two. In order to forcefully bestow blessings, please grant a special yoga that is inseparable from the Guru and Yidam! After making this request, Guru Rinpoche replied with a joyful expression: Listen, son of noble family! My essence is inseparable from the Buddhas of the three times, and my form shows the supreme aspect of the accomplishment of great amrita wisdom. Therefore, I shall teach the ultimate of profound yoga! After making this promise, he manifested the wisdom body and spoke these words: May the empowerments, vows, and commitments be completely pure! With faith, devotion, and one-pointedness, those who are fortunate, if they wish to practice the profound yoga of the Guru of Great Bliss, in a secluded place, Abandon all activities. Relying on the symbols of commitment, write images of deities, and mix well the substances of commitment with spices. Arrange the torma in the shape of a precious flame, along with outer and inner offerings and a feast. Sit on a comfortable seat, generate renunciation, and connect with intense devotion. Perform the practice of the preliminary, main, and subsequent stages. First, the preliminary practice: Namo! Guru, glorious, endowed with great bliss, I take refuge with one-pointed devotion. In order to accomplish the immortal body for the benefit of others, I will meditate on the profound yoga. Hūṃ! All obstacles to the practice of secret mantra, drive them to the far shore of the great ocean. With the samadhi of Vajra Hūṃ, the wisdom protection circle is spontaneously accomplished. Oṃ! Thus, with refuge and bodhicitta, purify the lineage, all outer and inner protections, bless me and the place and belongings, increase and expand the conducive conditions. The order of the main activity is: Hūṃ! From the indivisibility of space and awareness, from the wisdom of vajra nectar, the realm of great bliss and the great palace, complete with all signs. In the center of that, on a lotus, sun, and moon, the unchanging, innate deity of awareness, Mahaguru Dewa Chen, radiant with white and red, with the appearance of sixteen, adorned with precious bone ornaments and flowers, with a silk upper garment and a tiger skin hanging down, adorned with a net of tinkling bells, with a wrathful smile, three eyes gazing with desire, the hair piled up, marked with a vajra, bound with a garland of fresh lotuses. The right hand holds a vajra at the heart, the left hand rests on a nine-pronged bell, the consort, the precious Mamaki, in the form of the goddess Shakya Devi, youthful and beautiful, adorned with precious bone ornaments, the right hand holds a curved knife embracing the father, the left hand holds a skull cup filled with nectar, sitting in vajra posture, in the union of vajra and lotus, proclaiming the great sound of Aham bliss! All aggregates, elements, and sense bases, transform into the body, speech, and mind of the Sugata Buddhas, with the light of the wondrous qualities and activities, visualize inviting the wheel of wisdom. Hūṃ! In the northwest of the land of Oddiyana, on a lotus stem and stamen, attained the supreme and wondrous accomplishment, known as Padmasambhava. Surrounded by many dakinis, I practice following you, please come to bestow blessings! Bestow the great blessing of vajra wisdom, bestow the supreme empowerment of immortal nectar, bestow the accomplishment of great bliss, please accomplish the rainbow body! Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ!
