Guru's Mind Practice, Eliminating All Obstacles, the Two-Stage Continuous Yoga of Glorious Authentic Heruka. Khyentse Wangpo. Guru's Mind Practice, Eliminating All Obstacles, the Two-Stage Continuous Yoga of Glorious Authentic Heruka. Khyentse Wangpo. Guru's Mind Practice, Eliminating All Obstacles, the Two-Stage Continuous Yoga of Glorious Authentic Heruka is present. Namo Guru Vajra Shri Herukaya. Here, wishing to briefly summarize and contemplate the ultimate mind practice of the all-knowing Orgyen Great Master, the profound path of the two stages of Glorious Authentic Heruka, as a continuous yoga. In a secluded place, on a comfortable seat, with the conduct of meditation, either perform the preliminary stages extensively, or generate strong renunciation and compassion, and in front of the assembly field awakened to fill the sky. Vajra Master, Buddha Glorious! I prostrate to you who abide in the three times! Becoming the field of reliance on the Three Jewels, I take refuge with a non-dual mind. Please accept the pure offerings transformed by actual wealth and imagination. Accomplishment, Obstacles that cut the river of, I confess all misdeeds. The pure Dharma of the ten directions and three wheels, I rejoice in the unattached conduct. The pure four extremes are without stain, I generate the complete Bodhicitta. To the Sugata Bodhisattvas, I offer the body of the three purities. All the actions accumulated over lifetimes, I gather and dedicate to great Bodhi. Purify the mindstream with three repetitions. May all sentient beings have happiness! May they be free from all suffering! May they never be separated from happiness, and may they realize the equality of all dharmas! Thus, with the four immeasurables as the preliminary. At the beginning of the main practice, the stages of generating yoga. The main practice of peaceful approach is: Ah! Vajrasattva, vast as the sky! Not grasped by holding, like the moon in water! From the play of Samantabhadra, the root deity of the union of skillful means and wisdom! White deity, holding vajra and bell, embracing the consort with his own light, uniting bliss and emptiness. Adorned with silks and jewels, clear in an unfabricated, natural state! Om Vajrasattva Ah! Recite as much as possible. Then, accomplish the wrathful one. That itself completely transforms, in an instant, the self becomes the holder of knowledge, the ornament of Jambudvipa, the form is authentic.

Heruka, with three faces blazing blue, white, and red, six hands holding symbols of wisdom, the right hands holding a vajra, khatvanga, and small drum, the left hands holding a bell, red skull cup, and intestines lasso, Vajrakrodhiśvarīm (Tibetan: བཛྲ་ཀྲོ་དྷཱི་ཤྭ་རཱི་མ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रक्रोधिश्वरीम, Sanskrit Romanization: vajrakrodhiśvarīm, Literal Chinese Meaning: Vajra Wrathful自在母), entwined with vajra conch blood, possessing the demeanor of nine dances, in wrathful attire, amidst the blazing fire of wisdom, with four feet standing in a giant's stance, upon a lotus sun disc and the seats of the four maras, the right and left faces and six hands, completely embodying the nature of Gauri and others, all the cities of the vajra aggregates, the uncreated, self-arisen adornments of play, the assembly of blood-drinking deities established as mudras. Thus, meditate with single-pointed focus, holding the mind on the appearance of deities as illusory, with pride, and train in the pure recollection that connects the ground and the result. Incidentally, the yoga of recitation is: the heart is in the expanse of an eight-petaled lotus, rulu eight syllables radiate and gather, revolving like a firebrand, the great bliss wisdom becomes stable. Om Rulu Rulu Hum Bhyo Hum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་རུ་ལུ་རུ་ལུ་ཧཱུྃ་བྷྱོ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ rulu rulu hūṃ bhyo hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om Rulu Rulu Hum Bhyo Hum), recite as much as possible. If you are inclined to meditate on the completion stage, then meditate as appropriate. When concluding the session, Hum Hum Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hum Hum Hum), thinking that the deity body of appearance dissolves into the expanse of clear light, and remain in equanimity. When rising, Phat Phat Phat (Tibetan: ཕཊ་ཕཊ་ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ phaṭ phaṭ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Phat Phat Phat), believing that oneself and all appearances have become the body, speech, and mind of glorious Heruka, with this merit, may I quickly, attain the state of glorious Heruka, thus dedicating and making aspirations, and engaging in conduct. Second, the instructions on the completion stage have six parts: tummo, illusory body, clear light, dream, transference, and bardo. First, the root of the path, the yoga of tummo: visualize oneself as Heruka, with one face and two hands or complete with faces and hands, in the midst of the great emptiness within the body, free from obscurations and hindrances, visualize the three channels and four chakras as usual, and expel the stale air. Specifically, focus on the center of the Dharma wheel at the heart, within the central channel, from the nada of Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hum) blue and clear like a flame, rulu eight syllables radiate and gather, visualize this clearly and hold the mind. Once familiar, hold the vase breath, visualizing the winds merging at the heart and dissolving into the syllable Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hum). Beginners should focus primarily on the navel chakra vase breath. For the constant practice of yoga, this much is sufficient. If you wish, recite Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om) when the wind enters, Rulu Rulu when it abides, and Hum Bhyo Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་བྷྱོ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ bhyo hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hum Bhyo Hum) when it rises.
