After laying out and gathering the mandala, and clarifying the generation of bodhicitta, a special connection is made. The instructions of the five yellow scrolls have two classes of root and branch teachings residing, among them, the root teachings are profound with wrathful mantras, like the Yamantaka tantra ritual, the means of practice, the wheel of play, and the subsequent associated ripening profound practice, etc., after connecting, offer the mandala.

Sit comfortably. This place is the charnel ground of the great bliss of Ogmin. In that immeasurable palace of burning blue-black triangles, visualize yourself as inseparable from the master, the lord of the mandala, and also abide in the form of Manjushri Yamantaka, the root deity with one face and two arms. Perform the connection as usual. Bind the blindfold with Oṃ Cakṣu rbhandha Vāramaṇāya Hūṃ. Offer flowers with Āḥ Khaṃ Bīra Hūṃ. Join your palms together, filling them with flowers, and pray and repeat the following: Inseparable from Heruka, Vajra Master, please consider me! In this mandala of the great blood drinker, please allow me to enter! Recite three times. After praying in this way, grant permission and proclaim the vows, please listen. Ho! Entering the city of Heruka is not just for many kalpas, therefore, your entry will bring accomplishment, and you will be able to keep all kinds of vows. In order to purify the continuum completely, in front of the master, the deities of the mandala, the three roots, the Buddhas, Dakinis, and Dharma protectors gathered like clouds, with the mind of refuge for oneself and all other sentient beings until attaining the fruit of enlightenment, repeat the following: Namo!
