The Core Practice of Daily Yoga from the Glorious Kadampa. Immortal Doctrine Two Continents. The Core Practice of Daily Yoga from the Glorious Kadampa. Immortal Doctrine Two Continents. The Core Practice of Daily Yoga from the Glorious Kadampa is present. Namo Gurave. The all-pervading lord of samsara and nirvana, great bliss. Appearing to beings as the body of a vidyadhara lama. In whatever pure land the teachings flourish, Having arranged it, I will explain the core yoga. Like a wish-fulfilling jewel, spontaneously accomplishing all that is needed, and like an udumbara flower, rare and exceedingly wondrous, the profound secret, the essence of the glorious Kadampa Dharma Ocean, the yoga of meaning, to be practiced in one sitting as a daily practice, has three parts: preliminaries, main practice, and subsequent activities. The first has four parts: inspiring the mind towards Dharma through the vehicle of gods and humans, accomplishing the thought of renunciation through the vehicle of hearers and solitary realizers, establishing the foundation through the path of the Great Vehicle, and performing the activities of accumulation and purification through the vehicle of Kriya Yoga. The first is: in a secluded place, straighten the body, expel stale air, I have obtained the precious human body of leisure and endowment, which is difficult to find and greatly beneficial. Although I have received profound secret mantras from a qualified lama, if I am distracted by laziness, all compounded things are impermanent, and I myself will surely die soon. At the time of death, only the ripening of the results of good and bad karma will follow. If I am born in a lower realm due to bad karma and experience unbearable suffering, what should I do? Remembering the qualities of the lama and the precious Three Jewels, who can protect me from that, and taking refuge with great reverence from the depths of my heart, contemplating the meaning of this meditation, the refuge is: Namo! The root of blessings, the lama, And the infallible Three Jewels, the three roots, Dakinis and Dharma protectors with their retinues, From the bottom of my heart, I take refuge with reverence. Recite this many times. The second is: all states of samsara, high and low, are of the nature of the three sufferings, like a pit of fire. The cause of suffering is arising, so as a remedy for that, relying on the continuum of the path, may I realize liberation, thus guarding the precepts well and meditating on shamatha-vipashyana and dependent origination. The third is: knowing all beings as my parents, generating loving-kindness, wishing them to meet with happiness, and compassion, wishing them to be free from suffering. Placing all in unsurpassed benefit and happiness.

Should be practiced. For that purpose, think about studying the vast realm of activities of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. To the sentient beings of the six realms who were once mothers, with love and compassion, universally inspire, for the sake of attaining the Buddha's fruit, I shall study the Bodhisattva's conduct. Recite and train the mind in this way. Fourth, visualize a pure realm, a precious palace, and visualize the offerings as clouds of offerings of Bodhisattvas. In the space in front, the Guru, Yidam, and Three Jewels, like an ocean of assembly, are present as if in person, and self and other sentient beings enter with one body, speech, and mind, believing in the activity of accumulating merit and purifying obscurations. Homage! I and all sentient beings equal to space, emanate bodies as numerous as dust particles, to all the refuge objects, the Three Jewels, I prostrate with reverence in body, speech, and mind. Always offer with a sea of offering clouds, confess sins and downfalls from the heart, rejoice in the practice of Bodhi, request to turn the wheel of Dharma, request to not pass into Nirvana and remain, dedicate the collection of merit to great Bodhi, may the attainment of Buddhahood be swift for the benefit of others. Thus, the seven-branch offering is offered in general. Specifically, offer one's own and others' bodies, enjoyments, and all virtuous roots as a mandala. Oṃ āḥ hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओम् आः हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ āḥ hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Ah Hum)! Self and others' bodies, enjoyments, and all virtuous roots, clouds of abundant and complete arrangement of pure lands, visualizing filling the sky and offering, may all beings enjoy the Vajra realm! Oṃ sarva tathāgatebhyo maṇḍala pūja ho (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओम् सर्व तथागतेभ्यो मण्डल पूज हो, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ sarva tathāgatebhyo maṇḍala pūja ho, Literal Chinese meaning: Om All Tathagatas Mandala Offering Ho)! Recite several times. Finally, the merit field dissolves into oneself. The Vajrasattva practice and recitation for purifying obscurations is: On the crown of one's head, Guru Vajrasattva, white and clear, one face and two arms, peaceful and smiling, holding a vajra and bell, adorned with silk and jewels, on a lotus and moon seat, sits in the posture of a Bodhisattva. In the heart, on the moon, marked with a white Hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable. Regretting sins and downfalls, requesting protection, reciting the mantra, the stream of wisdom nectar arising from the Hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable, flows from the toes of the feet and dissolves into oneself, purifying diseases, evil spirits, sins, obscurations, habits, etc., may body, speech, and mind be blessed. Thus, with faith, recite the hundred-syllable mantra as much as possible. Finally, Vajrasattva dissolves into light and merges into oneself, one's own self is clear as Vajrasattva. Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ vajra sattva hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Vajra Sattva Hum)! Recite thus, becoming the beginningless and endless Vajra of Bodhicitta.
