"The Nectar Essence Extraction Empowerment Ritual of Amitayus: An Immortal Delight," Vajra Splendor. Herein resides the one named "The Nectar Essence Extraction Empowerment Ritual of Amitayus: An Immortal Delight." Oṃ Svasti Siddhi Rastu. Drawing forth the essence of sublime life and wisdom, transforming it into the life force of fortunate beings, I respectfully bow to the Guru Amitayus, and unfold the empowerment, a joyous feast of immortal accomplishment. This has three parts: preparation, the arrangement of materials; the main practice, the means of accomplishment; and maturation, the ritual of empowerment. Firstly, in a secluded and auspicious place, according to one's inclination, on a platform, an eight-petaled lotus mandala, with the four directions red, fire and wind yellow, powerful blue, truthlessness and the center green, and yellow filaments, drawn with colored powders or painted on cloth, is laid down. On top of it, a vase without cracks or other defects, filled with twenty-five vase substances, samaya substances, nectar medicine, life substances, longevity pills, etc., with pure water about two-thirds full, adorned with a neck cord and ornaments, the ornaments decorated with the main deity's image, is placed. Arrange the seven royal emblems and the eight auspicious symbols, either painted or sculpted. Arrange the tormas for the four activities: white and round, yellow and square, red and crescent-shaped, black and triangular, each placed on a four-tiered base stacked with tormas of their respective colors and shapes, either placed separately or combined, but arranged beautifully. Second, precede with the lineage prayer, starting from refuge and bodhicitta, and practice the activity ritual like the "Wish-Fulfilling Jewel" until the final dedication. Third, there are two parts: the master entering himself, and the disciples entering and receiving empowerment.
