Generally, all sentient beings, and especially the harmful spirits and demons, should be regarded as parents from lifetime to lifetime, and thus be motivated by love, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment. According to one's practice, adopting any form such as white offering or red offering, visualizing oneself as the object of a corpse offering, and equally placing its nature in emptiness, all these should be cultivated by spreading whatever goes into the crucial times. As it is said in the scriptures: Purify the lineage, build a mandala in front, offer guests, manifest countless, one's own body, flesh and blood enjoyments, give without attachment, lie down in thoughtless equality. Having practiced in this way, at that time, various conceptual thoughts and illusions will arise in various forms such as reality, experience, and dreams. Therefore, in the external aspect, the signs of haunting spirits and demons will appear in various terrifying illusions in reality, experience, or dreams. Representing this, in the intermediate aspect, the sign of disease haunting is the sudden occurrence of illness. In the internal aspect, the sign of conceptual thoughts haunting is the emergence of various hopes and fears in the mind. Thus, whatever sign of haunting appears, it should be purified in the realm of non-grasping and non-elaboration, which is the remedy of no object. Whatever illusion appears, it should be viewed with a generous attitude, so that it naturally liberates, which is the remedy of opposition. Whatever illusion appears, it should be analyzed, so that it is confirmed that it is nothing other than the illusion of one's own mind, and it is determined that the mind is rootless and baseless, thereby dissecting it, which is the remedy of analysis. Cutting through these three methods: all phenomena of samsara and nirvana represented by illusions are the empty nature of non-existence and appearance, like illusions, dreams, and the moon in water. One's own mind is rootless and baseless, cutting it off in this way is the nature of space itself. The object and the subject, the grasped and the grasper, are all without self-nature, in this self-illuminating state of self-born wisdom, cutting off the root of delusion of acceptance and rejection, hope and fear, in the naked awareness of one's own place, abiding naturally without pride. Thus it is said. Third, regarding the subsequent degree of completion, there are three. The common degree of completion is: others offering prostrations and offerings to oneself, etc., which are signs of accomplishment; the appearance of creatures such as ants and snails from the body, which is a sign of the departure of demons; vomiting, diarrhea, nosebleeds, etc., which are signs of the elimination of disease. The special degree of completion is: oneself taking a bath, wearing white clothes, climbing upwards, flying in the sky, the rising of the sun and moon, others offering one's own hands, life, and heart, and so on. The supreme degree of completion is: knowing that all phenomena represented by illusions are one's own mind.

The nature of mind is determined to be unborn, free from elaboration, and self-originated wisdom. Thus, no matter which of the three signs of accomplishment arises, do not generate arrogance or joy and sorrow, but send everything into the realm of equality, that is the key. That is to say, first there is the appearance of signs, in the middle there is practice, and finally there is confidence in the signs, and dedicate the roots of virtue to the unsurpassed Bodhi, and make extensive aspirations, and then go from the solitary place to another place. The key to the profound instructions for cutting through the delusion of dualistic grasping. From the excellent explanation by Sherab Tsonwang. May the virtue gained liberate the phenomena of samsara and nirvana, which are grasped as two, into the realm of equality, and may it increase the glory of oneself and others! This was spoken by the supreme incarnation Kunsang Lekdrup, who is exalted by the qualities of being learned, virtuous, and noble. The ignorant Dharma Shri, a monk of Gnyos, recorded it as a basic catalog, like the self-liberation of samsara and nirvana composed by the venerable and holy Lama. May there be auspiciousness in all times and places! The instruction manual for the Chod practice of Vajrasattva's mind, spread in the lineage, delusion and discrimination liberated into the Dharmadhatu. The great translator Dharma Shri.
